Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Awesome cake. I love the mickey gnome and wind chimes.
I have heard that the pirate rooms beds are hard. Some have even said it's a box sprong wit ha foam top...no matress. Not sure if thats true or not.
LOL It could be a box spring with foam on it.... all i know is that the 'new' (not so new now) beds at CSR were 100X more comfy!!!!

Awww sad to see your Trip Report coming to an end. I've enjoyed getting to read along with it and your daughter is adorable.

I love the dino cake...she did such a good job on it and is so talented.
Thanks for reading... I still have 2 more days to go! OK more like 1 1/12 but who's counting? :rotfl:

She is the one that made Juliana's cake as well..... way at the beginning of this TR. She does an awesome job!

HOWDY!

I passed out on the couch last night at 9:30! So much for writing my next update! :headache: Now I'm looking at a weekend of work. :sad2:

I use that excuse way too often for not running, too. :rotfl2: It usually works, but then the overwhelming guilt hit me like a ton of bricks. Feeling guilty,Tim??

:lmao:

All weekend?? They do feed you at these events, right??

Good morning, Tim. I LOVE the Mickey windchime...I think I'll get me one of those to drive my neighbors nutty (it would serve them right with all the noise they make with their cars). Falling asleep at 9:30 is no excuse for not doing an update. Could be doing one while you were responding to others....

Oh, no -now I see something else on my MUST-HAVE list. The windchime!

My pocketbook is screaming at me - but I don't care. I must have it!!!

Adorable! I was eyeing that up when we were there last spring

With the kids....

Now that is a great photopass picture! None of our nightime photopass pics have ever come out that well.

So, a long weekend of work - that doesn't bode well for your TR;) Hope you get some chillaxin' time in, too!

Okay, I finally got all caught! I'll admit though, I had to use your links on the first page to get through it. One day I may be able to read all the "finer details" on all the other pages.

I don't think I can remember everything I wanted to comment on, but I do have to say that I had tears in my eyes when I was reading about Juliana's birthday at Disney. It sounds like she definitely had a magical day and she looks so happy in all the pics. I love how ecstatic kids are just to be in Disney! Kind of like me.....:rolleyes1

I can't wait to see how the CBR pirate room is!

Oh, and I the breakfast at Kona (minus the ride waitress) looks delicious. We tried Tonga toast for the first time this past trip, but I would love to try those macadamia nut pancakes! Drooling just thinking about it.

I totally posted on the wrong thread. Darn my freaking phone! Darn it heck! But then I went to edit and saw the pics and now I think I need to read your TR so it's not all bad. I'll be back.

I am feeling guilty because I haven't been to the gym since MAY!!!!!! I hope to start going again very soon!!!!!!

Early night tonight... My wedding got done at 9:30 and the banquet hall is literally 4 minutes from my house!!! SCORE!!!!!! I would say that I get fed 98% of the time. The other 2% I stop on the way home at the first fast food restaurant I see and eat. Then I feel like crap 10 minutes after I am done eating. LOL

Thanks so much for posting the picture of the windchimes! I love them!!!
No problem! The only thing about the windchimes are they don't really work!!! I don't think I've heard them clanging yet! :lmao:

Well, did you read my last response? The windchimes don't make much noise... You can always get a Mickey FOG horn.. :confused3

I am still so behind on all my threads. I am slowly catching up. Sometimes I can't focus my mind on writing an update. :confused3

Thank you! That was a good night time pic. :)

Your right, work doesn't help my TR writing.

I'm home early tonight... trying to catch up on a few threads! :goodvibes

Most of the inbetween is just your normal TR banter, although there is some funny in there too! :)

Glad you were able to use the links! Links are KEY! :thumbsup2

Her birthday couldn't of been any better... well, I guess if she won a night in the castle it would of been somewhat better! But, it was really amazing- even with getting soaked. :goodvibes

I can't wait to see how the CBR pirate room is!
Coming up in the next update!!!! (Whenever that is... :rolleyes1)

Oh, and I the breakfast at Kona (minus the rude waitress) looks delicious. We tried Tonga toast for the first time this past trip, but I would love to try those macadamia nut pancakes! Drooling just thinking about it.
We love Kona! We eat there every trip. It is soooooo good!!! :yay:

LOL It's ok! Relax!!!!

I guess I can give you a :welcome: then? :confused3:confused3

Hi, Tim. But this message isn't really for you.

First, I will be thinking of Mel (and all of you) on this day as I know it is her Grandmother's memorial service. A big hug to all of you.

And I also know that it is Mel's birthday. So :bday:party::bday:Mel.

Slow day at the office and when its like this, I pick a TR to spend the day living vicariously through! :goodvibes

Thank you for thinking of us. The funeral was sad but I think it was good for her family to get a sense of closure. We went to Mel's aunts house after and had a nice lunch and talked for a few hours.

I will relay your birthday wishes to her too! :goodvibes

Oh, the Mickey garden gnome is just too cute!
Thanks!!!! So when you gonna buy one?

We were leaving Melody's cousin's house driving back towards Disney. We had to stop at the room before ADR at 'Ohana. On the drive over Melody called Branda to see how they were making out. They ended up stopping at DTD for a little while before they got on the road. The two of them kept talking about how much fun we had and trying to figure out when we were going to do it again! I guess our trip was a success!!! I think we might have turned our friends into Disney nuts!!! LOL They were very appreciative of all the work we (ok I.. lol) put in to the trip with finding the house, planning out our days, ADR, etc. (They sent us a Disney picture frame in the mail a few weeks after the trip that we can fit 10 or so pictures in!) Melody said goodbye and wished them safe travels.

Her cousin only lives about 35 minutes from Disney and before we knew it we were pulling into Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!!!!

We were following the resort map heading to Trinidad South.... to our PIRATE ROOM! We were really excited to see what it looked like. We found our room, opened the door, and saw:

We loved the room! It was awesome! Even Juliana got a kick out of staying in a pirate room. We kept singing 'Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me!' There were a few differences though from when we stayed at CSR, which I will add at the end of this report (someone remind me! LOL) We got our bags in and took out our clothes for dinner. We didn't have time to explore the resort so we got dressed and headed to the Poly for our 'Ohana ADR.

We arrived at the Poly at 6pm for our 6:45pm ADR. I know the wait at 'Ohana sometimes get backed up, so we wanted to check in early. I checked in and they gave me the normal spiel, 'we can't guarantee you a seat till your ADR time. Here take a buzzer in case we can seat you early.'

No problem. We would just check out the gift shop and hang out for a while. We walked past Kona and checked out the sushi, then continued on towards the gift shop. We stopped to look at the pins and our buzzer started going off. I guess there was room for us!!!! Back to 'Ohana!

Up next.... Dinner (yummmmmmm) and an unexpected (ohhhhhhhhhhhhh)
