Melody's grandfather made us a great meal of cavetelli, broccoli, & shrimp in a clam sauce. MMMMMMMmmmm it was great.

If that would have been me on that plane, my poor DH would have been bleeding down his arms. As it is, I squeeze him tight going up and coming down...I hate flying with a passion. You are a braver person than me.

I think I'm gonna hurl! Just plain nasty, but so FUNNY! If that were me, I could probably bet I couldn't contain the laughter. Then the hubby would have been asking, "WHATS SO FUNNY". Can't wait to read more we leave in a couple months, June to be exact.

So we are descending and the plane is bouncing all over the place. I hate flying and I was getting nervous. The plane was bouncing and shuttering as I could see the ocean getting closer and closer. Finally, we were over land and touched down. WHEW.

You probably got on the Tower of Terror with no second thoughts, though. Am I right?

Everyone passed out early after the long day of traveling. For some reason, I have no pics.

Hmm, you upgraded at the last minute huh? Wimp. j/k I found an awesome deal on a Ford Flex and reserved it but had a couple questions the website wasn't clear on. When I called I was told there was NO included mileage! It is still an awesome deal, and once I calculated the mileage we expect to drive it comes out about the same as the minivans so I'm keeping it for now. All these reservations are gettin' me down. I'm ready for our vacation NOW!

I love hanging out with family. It's some of my fondest memories of childhood. Glad you guys were able to see a few extra relatives while you were there.

It was unexpected that's for sure. I have another good story about a booger picker. But I think you all have had enough of that for the time being!!!

Hmmmm good point I did go on ToT. I think there is the fact that I was in an airplane going 200+ mph hurtling towards earth.

I was thinking of taking pics of people passed out.... it just didn't happen.

Hummmm... I've never tried to rent without unlimited milage. Upgrading worked out to our advantage.

Sooo I kept my words and read everything (almost haha) and am all caught up! Very lucky that you guys got to take a 2 week vacation...I can't wait for the day when I have enough vacation time at work saved up to do that

I think it's the not being in control thing that makes me nervous.... and the fact that if anything goes wrong there is no pulling over to fix it.

We are lucky because this is my slow time with work and my DW took 8 days plus her scheduled days off.

She is pretty relaxed on the plane. She never sleeps on it. She has to see what's going on.

I hit the hay about 10:30 on Wednesday night and woke up to Juliana singing at 6:30am. It was hard to ignore since she was sleeping in the same bed as Melody and I. We came out of the bedroom about 7 and Melody's bro and his wife were starting to wake up. They had to leave by 8:30 becuase they needed to get their rental car back by 10.

I headed towards the kitchen and started breakfast. We had eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, fresh OJ, and toast. We snapped a few pictures before they left.

After we cleaned up from breakfast, Melody & Juliana went outside for a walk. It was still cool about 60 but it didn't feel bad to us.

After the girls walk Juliana and I had to make sure Pal Mickey was ready for the parks. He was.

We spent the morning and early afternoon talking with Melody's grandparents. It was nice for Mel to have some alone time with them to catch up.

We decided that we would drive down to the beach and walk around for a while. As we were getting closer to the water the temperature gauge in the car was going down... 61, 60, 59, 58, 57. When we got out of the car there was a 20-30 mph breeze with higher gusts! Should we just get back in the car and head back???

We made it this far... let's go!

This picture of Juliana is a significant picture... this is the last picture ever taken on Melody's camera! She put it down to tie her shoe and when she tried to take another picture it kept saying lens error. I had my camera so we still got pics. I told her I would try to fix it when we got back.

The waves were really big and rolling in.

Juliana was having a blast running around in the sand. She even took her shoes off!

Look closely in the background. The one other person on the entire beach. A guy with his metal detector.

After about 30 minutes we left the beach- Bin Your Butts!!!

We stopped by the town pier and walked around for a while. When we got back to Melody's grandparent's, I tried to fix her camera. I took it apart and tried to clean out any sand that got in there. I got zapped 3 times in the process! I wish I had pics of my face- that would of been priceless.

We had another great dinner and spent more time talking. Day 2 came and left so quickly...
