Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Would you believe when I made these ADR's earlier this evening, I could have gotten LeCellier for any day I put in? But we decided to skip it this year because we've not done Coral Reef in over ten years and Mark really wanted to go back. We've got "late" lunches as two of our three breakfasts are buffets and we love our buffets. And, since they are buffets and we eat a lot, we'll just do counter service for dinner. Plus with being in Marco Island and meeting up with our good friends, Nicki and Todd (Nicki is the queen food porn reviewer here on the DIS) and eating out with them at lots of great seafood places, etc., we don't want to spend too much at Disney.
Got cha! Sounds like you have everything all figured out!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I never know how we make it home with the stuff we buy. We usually pack an extra "carry on" bag just for the souvenirs (you'd think at our age we'd be done with the souvenirs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).
So what's going to happen once you have grandkids?????:eek: :rotfl2::rotfl2:
We're going to have to make a bigger effort with PP this year. Maybe we should bring MJ with us????
HMMMMMMM... maybe I can rent MJ out... better yet I can hand deliver him to you!!!!! Now if only he was actually mine. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

OK, I"m here this morning, but it looks like I have to back up 4 or 5 pages to see what I've missed.... ;) be back in a bit...

My favorite shots were the ones from EE! I never think to take pix while actually on a ride.

Too funny about Jul crying over not winning. It's not like she doesn't have any stuffed animals or anything... Maybe she'll be high school valedictorian with all of her competitiveness. :confused3

If your kid HAS to ride Dumbo, Tric. is the better bet. THere's NEVER a line.

Your lunch looked repulsive. Where are your veggies? You're as bad as maroo.;)

Diggin' your shots of those long-horned wicked looking wildebeest things. I'd have to be running in front of one!

Nemo rocks!

Is that as close as they'll let you get to the musicians?? You look like you're about a million miles away from them. :confused3

I usually leave the camera with Mel but in October I took it with me onto EE. When I got to the top it shut off... dead battery. UGH.

This kid has more stuffed animals than Toys-R-Us. It is nuts!

I wouldn't mind her being valedictorian!!!!!

Yea but Dumbo is so much cooler!!! :lmao:

Repulsive? That's a little harsh!

I guess I should of taken the pic once I put it all on the plate. The only problem is that I was so hungry I just killed it! BTW there was rice and broccoli under the chicken. ;)

They were right up next to the jeep. It was cool. :)

I was in the Nemo line when I took the pic. They were on the other side of the path. I guess I should of zoomed in. :confused3

He is 3..will be 4 in November, so he's right in-between.
Oh he is the perfect age! I think you should see it with him!!!!! :goodvibes

Doncha HATE that?!!

This kid has more stuffed animals than Toys-R-Us. It is nuts!

We try to limit it, but people keep giving them to us. I hate cleaning them up! THey often find new homes at the Goodwill regularly!

I wouldn't mind her being valedictorian!!!!!

WHat parent wouldn't??

Yea but Dumbo is so much cooler!!! :lmao:

Maybe so. Better music anyway.

Repulsive? That's a little harsh!

The brocolli would have vastly improved the repulsiveness. I was just jonesin' to use that word. I like it a lot.

They were right up next to the jeep. It was cool. :)

I meant to say HATE to be running in front of one. ;)

For not having a touring plan, and it being a busy time of year, you really are getting a lot done! :thumbsup2 So glad Dave loved Everest; such a great ride!

I ran (walked briskly) to get the FPs
I'm thinking about getting a t-shirt made up for me that says "Official FastPass Runner." You want one too?:lmao:
The happiness quickly turned into Juliana crying. She wanted to win. We tried to explain to her that everyone can't win but she wasn't hearing it. She was carrying on & on. We had to walk away with her for a few minutes and let her calm down. Geez... all the drama for a $.25 stuffed animal.
Madison was/is the same way. Our local zoo had a kidsfest type of thing going on last year. All of the kids got a raffle ticket. They probably had 50 or 75 prizes to give out, with a few hundred kids. We sat in there and watched every single prize be given away, but she never won. Imagine how disappointing that is to a kid. :sad2: (We made a special stop at the zoo gift shop after that)

Once again, Dave couldn't believe what he was missing his whole life... he loved the coaster!
Nice job - you got him hooked. :thumbsup2

LOLOLOLOL You got me LMAO! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

PM me... It will give you something to do while you are laid up with the Stones (no Rolling):scared1::scared1: :rotfl2::rotfl2:
I only took one day off - someone's got to work and bring home money. And by "bring home" I of course mean "temporarily hold in our bank until we get a chance to send it to Disney":confused3

Doncha HATE that?!!
I a word... YES!
We try to limit it, but people keep giving them to us. I hate cleaning them up! THey often find new homes at the Goodwill regularly!
She got a lot as a baby. Then when she was in the hospital everyone (and their mother) brought her stuffed animals- not to mention the ones she got from the hospital. Every week after chemo there was a prize box she got to pick from... you guessed it- more stuffies. I think we have bags of them in the attic. When we go to clean that out we will be donating them. I'm not sure if our goodwill accepts them though. :confused3

The brocolli would have vastly improved the repulsiveness. I was just jonesin' to use that word. I like it a lot.
Oh sure... use it on my TR. :lmao::lmao:

I meant to say HATE to be running in front of one. ;)
I figured that is what you meant.. :rolleyes1

For not having a touring plan, and it being a busy time of year, you really are getting a lot done! :thumbsup2 So glad Dave loved Everest; such a great ride!

AK was busy but it seemed the lines weren't horrible. As the day went on it cleared out a little. There still was a few attractions and just some general walking around that I would of liked to fit in- overall it was good.

I like EE too. It is just too short of a ride for me. It needs to be another minute longer. :)

I'm thinking about getting a t-shirt made up for me that says "Official FastPass Runner." You want one too?:lmao:
Yea.. hook me up with one! Another job of being a DISdad.

You gave in huh?

Good daddy. ;)

LOL I guess it has to go somewhere.

Hope you are feeling better. :thumbsup2

Another update! You never disappoint.

We played that water game in Dinoland before. Fun, but we didn't win. Glad someone in your group did! :thumbsup2

I LOVE EE! I didn't get it at first, but after you go backwards, totally awesome!!! :woohoo: I love Dave's fist pump. You can totally see his white knuckle grip on the handle bars! What a trooper he has been on this trip. :thumbsup2

Nemo is such a wonderful program. I can just hear "Big Blue World" in my head right now. And my little one adored finding Nemo in those bubbles, too. NEMO!!!!!!!

Great shot of MJ in front of the Tree of Life. I hope he makes it to MK for a ride on PP to visit to Neverland, his home. LOL!!!

Got cha! Sounds like you have everything all figured out!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I am a planner. But I'll probably change ADR's a couple of times...I've been known to do that up to a day before the trip.

So what's going to happen once you have grandkids?????:eek: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

BITE YOUR TONGUE! I am in absolutely NO HURRY for that to happen. Although we've already told both boths, that when they have kids (if they ever do), that we are taking them to Disney World and leaving their parents behind because they both are no fun. :rotfl::rotfl:

HMMMMMMM... maybe I can rent MJ out... better yet I can hand deliver him to you!!!!! Now if only he was actually mine. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Well, I would like nothing better than for you to hand deliver him. And you could bring Juliana with you and then we could take her to Disney World. :) You know, so I could practice for those grandkids. ;)

Nice job getting Dave on EE. That really is a great ride. And the drama with Juliana wanting to win the water spray game...hoo boy, have we all been there.

I remember a great line from the Simpsons where Bart is freaking out over something and Homer says in a caring tone, "There, there. Shut up, boy." :lmao: My DW and I use that one a lot! Well, actually we just say, "There, there...", but we both know what we're really thinking.

nice update tim!! i only ever spent about 4 hours at ak and i spent most of that time at wac-a-mole. non of the kids would play anymore.:lmao: i was the champ!!!!:lmao: i have to try everest, beside rockin thats the only coaster i havnt been on yet. nice pics!:thumbsup2

Another update! You never disappoint.
Awww thanks! :)

We played that water game in Dinoland before. Fun, but we didn't win. Glad someone in your group did! :thumbsup2
It was fun.. it just goes too fast.

I LOVE EE! I didn't get it at first, but after you go backwards, totally awesome!!! :woohoo: I love Dave's fist pump. You can totally see his white knuckle grip on the handle bars! What a trooper he has been on this trip. :thumbsup2
You are right! His knuckles were turning white!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Nemo is such a wonderful program. I can just hear "Big Blue World" in my head right now. And my little one adored finding Nemo in those bubbles, too. NEMO!!!!!!!
I was really glad they picked Nemo over Lion King. I was a little disappointed when we saw FOTLK.

Great shot of MJ in front of the Tree of Life. I hope he makes it to MK for a ride on PP to visit to Neverland, his home. LOL!!!
We will see... we were back at MK on Thursday. :goodvibes

LOL.. Your poor sons. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, I would like nothing better than for you to hand deliver him. And you could bring Juliana with you and then we could take her to Disney World. :) You know, so I could practice for those grandkids. ;)
I wish! One of these days we will have to meet up in Disney. :earboy2:

Nice job getting Dave on EE. That really is a great ride. And the drama with Juliana wanting to win the water spray game...hoo boy, have we all been there.
It was pretty easy getting him on there. He even spotted the broken Yeti.

I remember a great line from the Simpsons where Bart is freaking out over something and Homer says in a caring tone, "There, there. Shut up, boy." :lmao: My DW and I use that one a lot! Well, actually we just say, "There, there...", but we both know what we're really thinking.
HAHA!! That's a good one!!! :lmao::lmao:

I might have to steal that from you someday. :goodvibes

You must of blown a fortune doing that at $2.50 a game. How many $.25 stuffed animals did you walk out of there with? :lmao:

You HAVE to do EE. It is a mild coaster. Plus it is nice & smooth and not jerky.:)

People actually play those games?? I thought they were there for decoration.... :lmao: I am stunned! ;)
