Family first trip

Not our family! I sent an invite to my siblings and their families. My youngest brother, his wife and 3 kids are interested in joining us. It will be their first trip. I know his wife is not a fan of Disney, but his two girls (9 and 11) are. His boy will be 16 at the time of trip.

Where to stay? We love AKV, but also love BLT. Which do you think they would enjoy? Originally, I thought AKV because of the theme but now I'm second guessing and thinking BLT because of proximity to MK and monorail.

They will be joining us for a few days after our cruise. We will probably only do MK, EP and AK and a water park.

AKV, Kidani village for sure. There will be a wide variety of activities for all, and the person who doesn't care for Disney will have a fabulous pool area (at either place, but we prefer Kidani) to lounge.

The complexities of this resort cover many bases.

BLT is not a bad place by any means, but fairly boring in comparison to the action at AKV. Proximity to MK should only matter if that is the primary resort for most of the days.

We aren't MK people, so wouldn't ever choose to stay at a resort simply for proximity to this park (or any park really). We find the transport sufficient and don't worry about where we are staying in comparison to the parks we will visit.

See, that's what I thought too! I like the Kidani pool better than BLT pool also. I guess what is making me guess my choice is that I asked MY kids which one they thought and they said BLT. I think it will be savannah view at AKV as it is such a unique place.

I really think the 16 year old would love Kidani. My oldest is 20 and my youngest is 14. They both absolutely love the savannah view at Kidani with Boardwalk being the close 2nd.
