Family dress-up-clothes photo at DLR?

DH just told me he wants to have our family's picture taken in old-timey dress-up clothes when we are at DLR this fall. Since I have never done this, I don't even know if it's available there.

Is there a place in DL or CA where we can dress-up, like old-west style or otherwise? We will also be doing PhotoPass, but I presume this is completely separate. This is something I've never seen discussed here on DIS.

TIA,
PHXscuba

DLR does not offer this, though I know Knott's used too. I do know that they have some super cute offerings with the photopass so I would look into those.

Unfortunately no Knott's this trip ... so I guess we're going to have to get creative with some of the PhotoPass poses. I guess I'll have to find that thread again ...

You will have lots of options with photopass. You can do straight photos or they also offer "special effect" photos. They can add characters and othr fun things into your photos digitally. You can fight Hook, hold tinkerbelle, look at Lilo.

Yes firefly we had 1 done as kids with my mom & dad it is hanging on thier wall... when we went for the first time with my own kids my hubby wanted to do this and we found out it was gone which is a shame I would love to have one with my kids like the one i have with my parents..we dothese every year on the Or.Coast in Seaside Or. since the kids were like 4 and 5(they are now 18 & 17) and they are so much fun!!!!:)

I have one of these too of my DNiece, she was about 5 or 6 so that would have been 1987 or 88.

I remember that Disneyland used to have a mock-up of the Lilly Belle's caboose--you could dress in period costume and have pics taken. I think that was sometime in the early 80's, though. Anyone else remember that?
Too bad there isn't something like that now...could be fun!

Yes, I do remember...here's a picture of me with my Mom and my DD and DS; my Mom wrote 1987 on the back of it. :thumbsup2

No. BUT .... you could just drive to Rawhide & do it!! ;) It would be a fun Xmas photo to send out. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I know I could do it here locally, and we've been other places where they do it too. DH just had the idea a couple weeks ago and I wanted to break it to him gently now rather than spending three days looking all over DLR for something that didn't exist!

We've had some interesting Christmas-card photos over the years when he's gotten to arrange them, but never the old-fashioned dress-up look. It's getting harder to talk DS13 into goofy pictures. I finally got the youngest old enough to pose for photos and now I'm entering the teen-attitude phase!

Bonofreak -- great picture! What a memory!

I wish they still did that! My mom still has the one of us from WDW hanging up in the living room. I was 15 and my brother was 12. I love looking at that photo now since my father passed away last October :sad1:

I was hoping to have it done back in 2006 with DH and DS7 (who was 4 at the time) when we went to WDW.

Thank you, PHXscuba. :flower3: My Mom is gone now and all those memories are truly precious to me. :sad1: She loved anything Disney and she is the reason that I am a Disney lover, too. :lovestruc
