Can anyone help me with family disney shirts . I have noticed some people got help from other members. Any advice us greatly appreciated

I used the freezer paper stencil method. It was fairly easy. We had 12 people in our group last year and I was able to make 18 shirts for about $50! They came out great and we had a lot of compliments on them.

Freezer paper is difficult to find, Wal-Mart was the only place I found it. You also need 1 bottle of black fabric paint, an exacto knife, craft foam paintbrush, an iron and a sharpie.

You can find lots of stencil patterns online if you google "Disney pumpkin stencils". Print them out, trace them onto the freezer paper and use the exacto to cut them out. Iron the freezer paper onto the shirt, brush the paint on the shirt and when it dries peel off the freezer paper.

I made Star Wars shirts for our DHS day (the kids all had a different character) and for our castle photos at MK the grandparents were Daisy/Donald, Minnie/Mickey. My family were different 100 acre wood characters and my sister's family were Toy Story characters. I bought the plane Hanes t-shirts at Wal-Mart on clearance. My whole family still wears their shirts!

You can go to the Disigner section in the community board and there are some wonderful artist there who can design your family shirts. They work for free but make sure to thank them.

I made freezer paper stencil ones for our Disney cruise, and they were simple and easy and cheap to do. I highly recommend that method!

I am not crafty in the least :sad2:. So for our trip I used Zazzle. If you watch you can catch deals up to 50% off which is what I did. It worked well for a small group without breaking the bank, but might be too much if your group is large.

@Swofdisorder where do I find that??

Under the "Just for Fun" section, there is a "Creative Disigns" board. That's where they do it. Make sure you read the rules for whoever you ask to make something, because some of them are pretty strict!

What kind of shirts are you looking for?

Just another suggestion, I have found some etsy shops with disney transfers. So you can just iron them onto your own tshirts. I am planning to do that mostly so I can make sure I have the right shirt sizes--I'm thinking I will just buy plain tshirts at old navy when I find them on sale--back to school sales are usually about now.

As others have said, the Creative Disigns board is where I get the designs for the many shirts I have made. You browse through their designs, find ones you like, then you request your design by giving them the information to personalize it. When they have completed your request, they'll post the link, you open it, save it to your computer, then print it our on iron-on transfer sheets you can get at the craft store. It's very easy - you don't have to be crafty at all, just follow the directions on the transfer package. We got lots of comments on our shirts this past December!

Most certainly! :cool1:
What did you have in mind though? There are far more options available than you would have ever thought

Freezer paper is very easy to use for stencils but if you are not crafty, it could present some challenges. I used freezer paper to make stencils and then spray bleached the shirt to leave a Mickey head on them.

I've done tie dye t-shirts for each trip with Mickey heads. They are very cool.

I have also gotten DISigns from the boards that I have turned into iron-ons.

Aside from help here, there's a number of sites online that make custom shirts. Perhaps Customink.com? Not sure what the rules are for Disney characters and such.

As also noted, the DISigners board has tons of options for shirts and many other items.

Here is a link to the board.DISigners
