Family Countdown Suggestions??

Does anyone have a good family count down activity? We are at 31 days til WDW trip and I want to try something to get the family more excited...I'm already COWED!!!

My daughter drew a picture of the castle on a big piece of posterboard and then made pockets below and put a Disney sticker in each one. The pockets were all numbered and each day one of my kids puts a sticker on the castle. We got the idea from our Christmas calendar which is similar but with ornaments you hang on a tree. I don't know how old your kids are but mine did it all by themselves so they were pretty proud of it!

We put mickey heads from hd on the wall and then take one down each day..

Thanks for the suggestions. Last night DD10 and I made a count down board, with many Disney stickers on it. We cut out 1/2 ovals and glued them on so they formed a pocket and then made slips of paper to go in each little pocket that little hints / lists / to do's on them...Make a packing list, Pack your carry on day, wash your clothes for Disney day, make a list of 5 things you want to do in each park, etc.

Today was watch your favorite Disney movie!!!

30 days and counting for us!!!!!!

I love your suggestion.. My little ones are 2 and 4 so ours i just right.. Have a great vacation.. We may even see you there.. I'll be at POP aug 21 to 29.

My hubby and I have 62 days left and are watching a Disney movie every two weeks as a countdown.

Since our family is older (no lil' ones right now), I've been sending everyone an e-mail a day with a WDW picture (usually of something we'll be doing, seeing, or eating) and the number of days we have left.

We do a Disney family night, one night a week about 12 weeks out from our departure. We discuss park plans, look at the Disney promo. DVD and watch Disney movies. This year we are going to be going on youtube and watching videos of each person's favorite ride. For as much as we pay for the trip, I want to milk as much family joy out of it as possible.
