families of 4-what size room do you get?

Family of 3 with college daughter. We stay in 2 BRs.
When DD was in high school, did studio, then 1 BR. For last several trips with the three of us, only 2 BR will do. Since time together is so valuable now, and we do not spend much time at parks, having a nice living room, letting DD sleep in late, and having lots of space is more important than ever.

This Christmas we stayed in 2 BR at OKW for 5 days and only went to parks 2 days. The rest of time rode bikes, cooked good food, read, and just took it easy. And DD finished a term paper.

When DH and I went to wine and food fest in Nov, we stayed in BWV studio and it worked well. We spent more time in parks and lots of time at EPCOT eating.

Having only done one trip home and we did a 2 BR that trip. It was too big at the time we had DD5 and DD 2. When we were sleeping DD5 got lost going from her bedroom to the master bedroom and ended up in the hallway (she moved a chair and undid all the locks to get out in the hallway, but she did it) and a nice CM brought her back. Nothing like waking up at 4am hearing a strange male voice talking to your daughter in the other room. So we plan to get a 1 BR for our next trip and realuate after that. We bought enough points to do a 2 BR ever other year...so we want to stay in a 2BR, but my sanity won't let it for the next trip.

We get a 1BR with 2 exceptions.

1) Sometimes on weekends or other times we need to save points we get a studio. (For example, we ended up arriving a day earlier than we expected for our most recent trip due to a great airfare deal...we could only afford the studio for the Sat. night that we had to add to our stay.)

2) When we have relatives stay with us (my parents or DH's mom), we get a 2BR to share - but our family ends up in the 1BR section anyway).

I don't see the need for us to get a 2BR for ourselves. The master BR gives us the privacy we need and since I have 2 DD's, they can share the pull-out.

At WDW, we get a studio for DH, myself, and DSs 12 and 14. We know we will be busy in the parks and not in the room much.

At HH last June, we had a one bedroom.

At VB this past June, we had a 2 bedroom soince my in-laws and my mom came along.

This June, we will have a 2 bedroom.

We know we will spend more time in the room at the beach than at the parks.
