Fall is in the Air - October 2021 W.I.S.H. Challenge

Tomorrow I am getting my Moderna booster shot. I didn’t realize that I qualified, until I read a news article that basically said that more people qualify than we think. I am not looking forward to the side effects, but I need to get it done.

I have to get mine. I want to do it on a Friday night or Saturday so I don't have to miss work if I am like last time. We just have been busy the last few and for the next 2. I am glad that your side affects were not that bad this time.

I sure hope my kids don't have attitudes today. Both were up late last night and DD slept in. She normally gets up about an hour before we leave but got up about 20 minutes before. She doesn't do well when she doesn't have her time to get ready.

Unfortunately, my side effects did get a lot worse during the day on Sunday, but thankfully by this morning, I only had a headache and a VERY ITCHY AND RED arm. The way my students can't keep their masks on correctly and so many in my building walk around with their noses out, I am very grateful that I got the booster.

One of my students basically slept the day away. Many were absent. The two worst of the "Naughties" were horrific today. One of the specialists was expecting more from my Para than she could reasonably do, and she was rude to her to the point of hurting my Para's feelings. This woman is very harsh towards others. I have been targeted by her in the past, and worked very hard over the years at disarming her with kindness. Well after defending my Para to her and the Principal, I am now back on her sh*t list. Yay. Fortunately, I am off for
Election Day, which is a special treat since we always had to lead or attend workshops in the past. I really need tomorrow to recover from the kids, and the nasty adult who should know better.

Everyone has gone home, so it’s pretty quiet around here today. Will do some yard clean up and then go for a walk. It’s a beautiful fall day!
Going to experiment with the air fryer feature on our stove and make chicken wings for the football games.

Can’t believe it’s November tomorrow! Thank you for getting us started, Oneanne! And would love to see pictures of your fabrics!
Sadly none of my fancy stitching came out the way I envisioned. But it was fun and a good start to figuring out how to do it. This week I'm going to re-dye a couple of my pieces and actually follow the directions. The chickens enjoyed it too.
