I got the info in my email and have posted it in another thread (we were posting at the same time!). Unfortunately, we are traveling during a blacked-out date and our dates aren't flexible, but I figured someone else- MANY someone elses- would be interested in this info!

I just got this offer from my Disney Rewards. If we were planning to go from Oct. 20-31 would I have to split my reservation to get the free dining from the 26-31? OR, since the 2nd half of my trip would be on free dining would they apply it to the entire trip? Will be buying park tickets so that's a given.

You have to do a split stay. It's based off of your check in day. But you can only pick tickets up 3 days early, so I'd do all the math and see if it's worth it.

Yes - I haven't seen any room discounts (of course that could change), so paying rack rate either way, buying tickets either way, initially I would think a split stay would be a better bargain IF you planned to go for all the high end meals during the "free dining" part and going lighter during the first half. I've been crunching numbers back and forth on free dining for weeks now. I think the only way for us (party of two adults) would save money on the dining plan would be to dramatically change the way we eat BECAUSE of it. But we are on vacation.
