Fairy GodMAW Grants Princess Bella's WISH! Update 12/2 - One more sleep til Disney!

I need a little help on Day 7 plans. Please!
Wednesday, December 9th
Park of the day: Magic Kingdom
Park Hours: 9AM – 8PM
Crowd Level: 6 Best Park: MK and EP Worst Park: AK

Here is the short version of the proposed schedule:

7:00AM – Check out of GKTW
8:00AM – Breakfast at GKTW
8:48AM – Magic Kingdom Welcome and Rope Drop
11:00AMish – Lunch at Magic Kingdom
3:00PM – Check into Best Western
5:00PM – Dinner at MK
8:00PM – Wishes and Kiss Goodnight 8:40
10:00PM – Return Rental Car/Pick Up New Rental

Priority #1 is to make it to the Rope Drop at MK. Should we do the rope drop and then return to GKTW so we don't need to check out so early? How long does check out take? Maybe we should skip breakfast, hit the rope drop, and grab a bite to eat in MK? Decisions, decisions!

Priority #2 is haircuts for all the girls at Main St. Barber shop. I have a time listing for the Barbershop quartet's singing times. Does that mean they will be in the barber shop singing or out on Main St? Last time we went a little girls was having her hair cut as they sang "When you wish upon a star." I'd like to time the haircuts so the Barbershop quartet is actually in the shop.

Priority #3 - Parade @ 3, Spectro @ 7 and Wishes @ 8. Nuf said?

Priority #4, actually more like #1 but I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. I am also still holding out hope that we may get some sort of a breakfast or lunch reservation at Cinderella's Roayal Table. It's probably not likely at this point, but I refuse to rule it out. Heck, if we don't get one, I am not above going up to the ressie desk without a reservatoin and asking for a table . . . . for my WISH KID. Is that terrible? I just want Bella to have her meal in the castle this trip - she is really looking forward to it. I'll continue to call each day until that day!

Priority #5 - Tiana's Showboat Jubilee - there are shows at 12:15, 2 and 3:45. I think the girls will LOVE this. Has anyone actually gotten to be on the showboat and in the show? I thought I read that they have guests participate?

I figure some adult will want to take a break from MK in the afternoon (probably not me) and s/he can go over and get us checked into the hotel around 3ish. I believe it's less than 15 minutes from MK to our hotel.

I'm not going to bother with the rental car until after we are all back at the hotel and the kids are asleep. Then either DH or myself will go over to the airport, return the MAW paid for rental, and pick up our own.

I'm thrilled with the deals we got for both the rental and the hotel. We extended our trip by 3 days and the total cost for car and lodging is less than $200. Also, the hotel where we are staying has a 'kids eat free' with paid adult buffet so we can save some $$ there too. If any other Wish families are considering extending and need help finding some good deals, let me know. I seem to have a knack for that type of thing!

As you can probably tell, our focus today will be on shows and we'll fit some rides in where we can. I'm hoping to do a marjority of the rides during MVMCP and redo favorites on this day.

Any thoughts? Should we check in earlier? later? Do the rental exchange when we check into the hotel? Take a break and have everyone go to the hotel for check in (though MK is only open til 8 that night)?

DAY 8 - Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique and 1900 Park Fare Happily Ever After Dinner

Here is Day 8's short schedule
9:00AM Breakfast at Hotel
10:00AM – Drop Grandma Chari off at airport
1:00PM – Downtown Disney for Lunch
2:00 PM – Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique
GIVE KIDS THE WORLD CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION???
7:25PM – Dinner at Grand Floridian – 1900 Park Fare

I am going to try and get a later reservation so we can spend some time at the GKTW Christmas Celebration. What is the latest we can be seated? Not much else to report on this day. We'll spend some time shopping at DTD and stop by Goofy's Candy shop for the Create your own Mickey Rice Krispies that we all take 3 bites of and claim fullness!

If we're bored in the morning, DH may take G-Ma to the airport while I take the girls swimming. This will definitely depend on the weather!

Day 9 - US/IOA park hours 9-6 and 9-5

This 2nd day at US/IOA will give us a chance to go to all of the Christmas stuff that wasn't there on the previous Friday. A parade, some holiday shows, and a Grinchmas show are on our list for this day. We will probably end our day early and do some swimming at our hotel or maybe head back to DTD for souvenier shopping.

Day 10 - Travel Day

Our flight departs from ORD at 11:35. I was thinking of squeezing in a breakfast at GKTW, but this isn't definite. We will need to check out of the hotel and return the rental car as well.

Our limousine will pick us up at the airport in snowy (probably by then) cold Wisconsin and take us home at 1:35.

Your plans look great, and I would def ask about attending the special party at GKTW..and continue to check with CRT and use some wish bribery if necessary..lol. I like the lime green mickeys too ! I think your day 7 plans look good, the only thing I would worry about with the rental car return so late is how tired you guys are going to be after such a full day. Otherwise, I'd want to wait and exchange them late too. Wow, less than 12 hrs est before you leave!! Have a wonderful time and give Bella a hug for Piper and I!

Yay! It's tomorrow! Have a magical trip, and don't stop stressing so much! (says OCD me)

So I spent all most all afternoon and read through you pre-trip report. I know you guys are going to have so much fun and I can't wait to read your trip report!
