Hi all,
I know I saw an old thread on this a while back, but I can't seem to find it now (went back like 132 pages :surfweb: - probably missed it....)

can anyone direct me to the original thread, or shall we just start a new one?

Am looking for someone who would be willing to be a Fairy Godmailer for our 3 little ones. We don't go till the end of April, and I would be happy to volunteer my services as a Godmailer while we are there, as well.

Thanks!

I'd be happy to be your kids fairy godmailer, what an honor!:lovestruc

What did you have in mind?
Postcards? Maps? Pins?

I'm going on Monday (April 7th) so it should be enough time to arrive before your trip.

Disney-inspired! Thanks so very much! Wow - that was quick!

Basically I was thinking just a postcard - our 5 year old Ds will get a kick out of it, and it will be something I can put in their Disney Trip Scrapbook that the younger ones will think is cool when they are older!

I'll send you a PM with all the details, and again, thanks so much! I'd be happy to return the favor for you - perhaps a "thanks for coming to visit" postcard?

Thanks again,
Carm

Oh no need for that, It would be a pleasure.
I even have the Disney font on my computer, so I'll type the message and then mail it.

OH WAIT, I will mail it from Disneyland so that way it shows the DL address.
The international thing won't be a problem at all. Are you guys celebrating anything in particular?

Mommyof1boys1girl,

I am also from Calgary. I will be going from April 9-12 so please let me know if there is anything else you may need before your trip at the end of the month. I would be happy to bring some things (maps, postcards, etc) back for you if you would like.

Yeah - wanna bring me back a Tigger Tail? :rotfl: :lmao: Just kidding, but thanks so much for the incredibly kind offer! If there is anything I can think of, i will let you know. Thanks to Bumbershoot, I have a set of maps already, so I can't really think of anything right now. But thanks again so much for the offer!

And have a fabulous trip - is it your first?

We're celebrating our first ever trip ANYWHERE, and both of the boys birthdays. So any mention of that would also be awesome!

Thanks again!

I have been to Disneyland before. Instead of a big wedding my DH and I used to money to take both of our families (20 of us) to DL for what we called and extended wedding reception.

However I will be traveling with a friend and her 2 daughters and none of them have been before so it should be an exciting trip.

Where will you be staying in DL?

I was thinking of mailing two birthday pins but I would think you'd want to do that yourself. It's more magical cause they get a phone call from Goofy (Just go to City Hall).

Wow, your first trip! Don't forget the first-timers button, too! I'm so excited for you!

We're staying across the street at the Camelot - nice big room for the kids and a separate room for us!! So we won't all have to go to bed at 8pm (though dh and I may still want to!!)

Two girls & first trip to DL - have fun with the princesses! Can't wait till my daughter is old enough - then I can pretend that she's the one who wants to see them and not me!

I saw this in the WDW board and thought this would be great, I also would be interested in anyone going in the next week to have a post card sent to my son. We are heading out for our first trip (husband and son, mine was 1981) and would gladly return the favour as a "glad you came to visit" postcard. Please PM if this is possible? Our trip dates at the park are April 18-23. Let me know if their is anyone out there that would like this for their little one, ours is soooooo excited.:yay:

I would love is someone could do this for my DD, we are going May 27. BCNorth, I'll PM you...since we're pretty close!!

I am going to be there April 11-14th if anyone one wants me to be a Fairy godmailer for their kids. I'll do the first two people to PM me!

I love this idea :wizard: thanks for bringing it back to the DLR boards!

We will be there this weekend, I will volunteer!! I can do the first 2 people who PM me as well....heck, I'll even go with 3 people! LOL Please be sure to let me know if you're celebrating anything special so I can try to personalize the postcard. Favorite character would be a great thing to know! I will send it from inside the park for you. :)

fyi, you can also get character calls before your trip or while on your trip. They were $2.49 in December and you schedule it online. :) Make sure when you get to the park you stop by City Hall and get the birthday button and the phone call from Goofy. :)
