The Ramada Inn in Orlando is located at 5858 International Drive.

As anyone stayed at these hotel's?

What did you think of them?

My family will be staying at Fairfield Inn on the way down {aug 7}. And then the Ramada Inn the night before we can get into our room at the ASM on Aug 9. That way we can take advantage of getting into the parks and not be tired from driving.

Thanks!!! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Not stayed at either, but live 25 minutes from Statesville:

There is an absurd amount of construction on I-77 between Statesville and 'NC traffic central', i.e. Charlotte. And I would not wish Charlotte rush hour traffic on anyone. If at all possible, consider a change of stops, especially if your Statesville departure put you leaving there between 6:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on any weekday. Construction in the exit 28 area (Huntersville, Mooresville, etc.) + guaranteed Charlotte traffic + rush hour = unknown delay(s)! I say this from experience.
If your schedule permits you to avoid Charlotte rush hour(s) and get down to anywhere between Rock Hill, SC and Columbia, SC on your first driving day, you will be @ 600 miles from WDW when you hit the NC/SC line and the single biggest traffic problem below VA will be behind you.
Either way, note that gas prices are cheaper in VA and SC.
Safe driving to you.

Thank you for the info!! :wave2:

I have written it down in my "Disney" folder that will be going with us on our trip. Avoiding any and all traffic jams is critcal with having two kids in the car, plus save my sanity. DH and I have been caught once in a traffic jam {bad wreak} and sat there for 2 hours while they cleaned everything up.

Needless to say by the time we got home, this is what I looked like.... LOL!!!

Thanks again!!! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

They might look like little angels in the picture, but looks can be deceiving!!!! LOL!!!
