Tried to book Hojo (love them), but all they have is a suite for over $200. Now I am having a dillema of where to stay. We are planning to go Oct 17-20 and the rates at fairfield inn is not that much more than the plaza, but would it be worth it? I just want to make sure we are in a hotel that is w/in walking distance and is clean. Any suggestions?

Hope I can help. We have stayed at the Fairfield twice and will again in 27 days. It is a nice hotel, nothing fancy. I haven't timed our walk, but we like that it if fairly close - closer than hojos and that McD is right on the way to the park. There isn't a continental breakfast, so a stop at McD is necessary for a few dollar menu items for breakfast. I know that on one day we will wait to eat until we get into the parks to eat at the Blue Ribbon Bakery on main street. DH loves the pecan rolls. We haven't stayed at the Plaza, but feel confident enough to suggest the Fairfield. Have a great trip!:)

Why not try Desert Inn and Suites. I've stayed at the fairfield in and really wasn't too impressed. It feels over priced for what you get in my opinion.

Thank you for the info about the Fairfield Inn. I never eat the free breakfasts anyways so having McD's right there would be great. Still not sold on it though.

I just tried Desert Inn and they are sold out. They would have been a contender if they had rooms. I really like staying right in that area of the main entrance just don't want to break the bank.

Hey we are going the exact same time and we haven't been able to get the HOJO rates either so I am going with Anaheim Plaza...

We have always stayed at the Fairfeld. I enjoy the safety of the hotel style lay out. Not too far of a walk to and from DL, and pretty comfy beds. The prices have gone up but I suppose everyone eles have too! If you check out trip advisor you can read reviews on hotels. :thumbsup2
