Fairfield Inn on Vineland to Universal parks?

Hello! My husband and a co-worker will be going to Orlando on business in a few weeks, and I thought while they are down there they might want to check out Universal during their off-hours.

They will be staying at the Fairfield Inn on Vineland, which looks like it is right next to the Universal parks.

Is anyone familiar with this area? Is it possible to walk from the Fairfield Inn to the parks? I've tried looking at Google maps but just wanted to know if there is anything that would make it difficult that isn't showing up on the maps.

Can't say about the walking, but FYI there are 2 Vineland FFI. one is near Universal, the other is Apopka Vineland near WDW. Hope that helps.

According to the Marriott website, the one near Universal is 2 miles away. However it also says it has free shuttle service.

Two miles doesn't sound right...the website says it is across the street:

There's one on Apopka Vineland which is in the Lake Buena Vista area near Disney and there's the one on Vineland which is across the street from Universal.It's behind a Golden Corral and Walgreen's I believe but it's also on the Portofino Bay corner of Universal so although walkable will be a tad further than say the Holiday Inn on Major blvd.I would put the walk at at least 15 minutes.
