Has anyone stayed here at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Western Entrance at Flamingo Crossing? Considering staying here to save some money on our next Orlando trip. It seems like a nice area and the pool/free breakfast amenities seem decent. Would anyone mind giving me their honest review? Thanks! :)

I have driven around this area to check on status of “Construction” .
The new Fairfield Inn next to the new Residence Inn (looks like a Grand Floridian copy with red roof/white building…. Plus the new Hiltons .
New smallTarget,Starbucks, ,Five Guys, Wendy’s, a new brewery and new Mexican , Japanese Sushi… The new businesses have their names and soon to Open appearance.
Across the street Flamingo Village , new college interns campus…Huge bigger than huge …when I drive past their parking lots is so full of student cars…it looks like parking for the Magic Kingdom !!!
Verynicearea , eventually traffic will suck
Be careful driving , because I always see a radar traffic cop…
They have built 2 fancy over the street walkway bridges for students safety from their campus to Target, etc…
I have entered the lobby of a coupleof the new Resorts and they are all very nice.
I would double check the shuttle/transport provided. I do not recall seeing any type of exterior transport pickup for guests.
This area is on the Animal Kingdom side of property .
If you have a great rate , I think you will be happy with your choice.
The photos on their website look very nice.

The Flamingo Crossings hotels are terrible. Really awful. They should all be condemned and nobody should ever think about staying there, ever.

(Not really - the area is fantastic. We've stayed at Townplace Suites a few times and have visited a few of the others, and love it there. But if word gets out about how nice the area is, it'll be overrun with people, and prices will go up, and reservations will be hard to get, and I'll be sad...:worried:)

Stayed there for one night at Thanksgiving and in Feb. I thought it was really nice. Had a King bed room. It had a mini fridge plus a coffee maker. Really nice breakfast buffet. Didn’t use the pool but it seemed nice with a water spray feature. Flamingo crossing was still being built. Didn’t go to any of the stores and restaurants there.

Great alternative to an onsite hotel and MUCH less expensive. I visited friends at Springhill Suites and it was really nice, much better than even a moderate room at Disney. You may lose some of the minimal benefits of staying on site, but for the price difference, it is definitely worth it.

Haha at first I thought you were serious and I was like, oh No! But that's good to know. It really does seem like a great value

Wow that's great!

They are all nice and in a safe area closer to residential areas. The shopping center is very much catered to tourists staying in the hotels and the college students across the street. Our out of town family always stay in one of the Flamingo hotels when they visit us because they're close to where we live and are a reasonable price with nice amenities.

I’m here now. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom large enough. The lobby is big and around the corner from the checkin desk is a kids area with childrens cartoons on a smaller tv. In the eating area there are 3 tvs. Breakfast has had one meat per day, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, muffins and of course coffee, juice and milk. The pool area looks very well done. I’ve looked at it but don’t swim. There are like overgrown “leaves” on poles by the pool which splash water down on you and there is a splash pad area that the youngers would like. There is a laundry room with several washers and dryers. $2.50 a loan for each (so $5 to wash and dry one load). The front desk has detergent, softener and dryer sheets for free. They will hold luggage and rental wheelchairs, ecv’s and strollers for you . The staff is exceptional. I can’t say enough good things about them. I’m not sure I’ll hop back on the DIS before I leave but if you have any specific questions let me know. But to add: they don’t get ABC on tv. (ABC is owned by Disney but I’m not sure if there’s a connection because it does get ESPN).

Also, the mini refrigerator is just that, a refrigerator. There isn’t a small freezer compartment like some have. The microwave is a good size. You’re about 15 minutes on a toll road of course away from 192 and TONS of restaurants and shops.

Just stayed there last week and loved it. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Had housekeeping every day including bed being made. So nice to come back to after a long day in the parks.
The bathroom is all in one if that makes sense, meaning the sink and vanity are in the same room as the tub/shower and toilet. Didn't matter to me as I was solo.
Free breakfast was basic but fine, you can even make your own Mickey waffles. I think hours were 6:30-9:30 during the week and 7-10 on Saturday and Sunday.
Pool area was nice and there is a pool bar open in the evening (I think maybe 5-10?) that had drinks and some food items.
There is a sports court beside the pool area that has batting cages, basketball goal and small soccer field.
Surface parking plus there is a parking garage, so no issue finding a parking place.
Target and Walgreens right across the road, plus Starbucks and Five Guys. Saw a building with a Domino's sign but not sure if it's open yet. Many more stores and restaurants to come.
Very easy to get to all the parks with about a 10-15 minute drive. MK probably took a little longer. I believe they have a shuttle that is $5/ person each way, but I didn't check into it as I had my car and I am a passholder, so didn't have to pay for parking at the parks.
Best part, at least for now, NO resort or parking fees!

We stayed at the Hilton next door right before the Fairfield opened. It looked very nice. So much so, we will be staying at the Fairfield soon. FC is a great little area with lots of shops and restaurants opening or soon to be open. It's a super quick drive to be on Disney property. With the college program and soon to be Disney housing (announced earlier this week), this is going to be a happening little area soon.
