Fairfield Inn Disney Resort View? Worth extra money?

Is it super close walking distance to Disney? I have a 3 year old daughter and want a hotel super close! It looks nice online and I did see the view here of it but it didn't mention about a Disney Resort View. What am I looking at? Can I see the fireworks?

If you are referring to the review I did of the Fairfield Inn, we didn't pay for the Disney Resort View room and we got one anyway, albeit on the 4th floor. Theoretically since we paid for our rooms through Hotels.com, we got discounted, el cheapo rooms (I would guess) and we were very happy with the room view we had. Honestly because it's open corridors, if I wanted to see the view, I would step outside onto the walkway, not stay in the room. When we checked in I simply asked if we could get a DL facing room, and they said you already do. They probably charge more for the rooms on the outer edge of the building closest to the parks, on the higher floors. That's my guess anyway. I heard the view from there is amazing and that one could get a beautiful view of the fireworks from up there. We never went up to view them from there, but anyone can go because it's open corridors. Those rooms are quite a ways away from the elevators though. I was glad to be in the room we were in, just around the corner from the elevator. FFI is not 'super close'. It's about a 5 minute walk from DL. If you want super close, then you're talking BWPPI, DI&S, Carousel. (more like 1-2 minute walk from DL.) But you have to ask yourself what amenities you want, and do you want to be near affordable convenient food places? IHOP and Denny's (next door to BWPPI, DI and Carousel) is ridiculously overpriced and crazy busy. McD's, Millie's and Mimi's right next door to FFI. I saw a lot of unhappy people going to McD's to eat and then having to trek back to their motels closer to the pedestrian crosswalk to DL. At FFI, you can stop in at McD's or Millie's on your way back to your room. Also, FFI has room service from Millies.

Thanks so much! I think I did read your reply and you're one of the reasons why I booked. I really like the location of the other hotels but I really like all the ameneties this hotel has. I did go ahead and book the disney resort view because I wanted to make sure I did see them. I have no idea if my kids will still be awake to go out of the hotel room to see them. :)

You're welcome! Have a great trip!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I saw everyone's great comments about the Fairfield, and I think I might look into it for next summer. I was curious about the distance since coming from the East coast we wont have a car. Thanks a bunch!

never mind, I think I saw what looks to be coffee in the picture in the hotels thread :) thanks
