Facial wash, etc. for oily but very sensitive skin

My DD has very oily skin, just like I did as a teen. Her skin is also very sensitive. I was/am the same way. Any kind of over the counter acne medication or face wash that contains any form of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid causes a rash all over her face and hands.

Can anyone recommend some kind of face wash that will help with her oily skin, yet not cause an allergic reaction?

I have the same skin (oily & sensitive), and i've always liked noxema (regular kind and the kind w/ the beads in it). I also love cetaphil and oil of olay face wash.

I used to use Noxzema as a teen and a young adult. It worked well.

I use Oil of Olay foaming face wash for sensitive skin. Not sure what's in it but I love it.

I use Aveeno's facewash. The one that helps with redness. My DS16 has been using the Aveeno pads that have cleanser in them and he hasn't had a problem and he has very sensitive skin.

I have oily sensitive skin; I can't wear makeup, even the brands like Clinique which are supposed to be fine for people with allergies. The only products I'll use on my skin anymore is amala. I order it online; it's all natural and never irritates me.

i use the cleanser for oily skin. it actually works, leaving my skin deeling clean and not greasy.

I like Cetaphil (Target or Costco) and also Purity by Philosophy (Sephora). I have using Purity for several years, but now that the girls are needing something I buy Cetaphil at Costco. It's much less expensive and works just as well.

I'm another Purity (by Philosophy) lover. That stuff works beautifully for oily skin but doesn't irritate it at all. It just makes your face smooth and... normal.

It also comes in different sizes so you can try it before buying the large size.

I 2nd Clinique! Try the 'mild' facial bar soap. Its around $11 and it will last for a good 6 months. You can get it at dept stores (like Macy's) or buy it on line.

I SWEAR by a cleanser called Tersaseptic. My mother's dermatologist first recommended it to her when she had bad skin problems while pregnant with my brother (in 1984!), and she still uses it, as do my brothers and I. Here's a picture of the bottle:

It's a bit expensive, but in my opinion it's worth every penny!

I used to have VERY oily sensitive skin. One thing my derm told me was that I actually didn't have oily skin, but VERY dry skin and my skin was oily because it was over compensating for the dryness. I switched to a sensitive skin line from Dior and my face has NEVER been better. I'm actually allergic to Clinique that's how sensitive I am. My derm and allergist have both said if they had a dime for everytime someone with an allergy to clinique walked into their office they could retire!!!!!!! Seriously, look into using a line developed for sensitive skin and has an alcohol free toner and good moisturizer. Believe it or not, that might be your problem!!!!

Have you ever tried OLAY Daily Facials? I have oily-sensitive skin and I swear my face has never looked better. I only use them at night, they take off makeup wonderfully. I use the one labeled for Oily skin that has a purple stripe on the box. The one for sensitive skin didn't work as well for me.
