When I write on someone's wall how do I get it so it doesn't show up on the homepage of FB? I really don't want other people to see that I've written on people's walls. Not that it's a big secret, but I don't necessarily want to advertise the conversation.

You can send them a message. That would be private.

underneath their profile picture it will say send joe a message click on that and whatever you write only that particular person will be able to read it

There also should be a setting where you can make your wall posts private. Check under settings and see.

Go to Settings>Privacy.

There are lots of options you can toggle on and off about what is visible to others.

Posting to someone's Wall may appear in your mutual friends' News Feeds.

Show Wall posts uncheck that
