Facebook "Friend" Request Refused

I used to keep my friends to a very limited number of poeple, and I denied a lot of people from high school and work, including the girl I sit next to. Then I gave in a starting accepting everyone. Since then, I hardly ever post anything. I only get on Facebook once a week or so to see what a few close friends are up to.

My facebook currently has 37 friend requests sitting all alone. I don't decline people, I just don't accept them. For me, if I'm not close to that person or don't want them knowing even trivial things about my life, I don't accept. It's generally not a matter of me disliking them, just me keeping things private.

yup me too.
I just do not really want grand nieces/nephews, friends of friends of friends who only want to add to their total list crawling in my facebook page. I get on facebook every week or 2 & really don't need 100+ friends !
