Facebook experts, I need help!

There is a Facebook friend whose pictures I do not want to see appear on my wall, but I want to be able to see his status updates, etc. I do NOT want to block him; I just don't want to see any pictures he posts (he's an ex; the photos are fine, I just don't want to have to look at them). Is there a way to do this?

I can't help with this one, but I am eager to hear the answer. I have someone I don't mind seeing posts from, but the wall photos. . .not so much. Just TMI stuff, really.

And I am totally hopeless with Facebook. Who knew it would be so complicated. (And my teeanage young relations think it's easy-peasy!)

I don't think it's possible...I think it might be an all or nothing.

But why would you want to be friends with an ex? If seeing his photos, I'm assuming with his new gf, is upsetting, why would you want to see updates as well??

You can just hide him from your newsfeed. When a post/picture of his shows up, hover to the right of the post and it show "hide". Click on that.

You will still be able to go to his profile at any time and see his status, pictures, etc. There is no way to block just pictures.

They just won't show up in your newsfeed.

You'll still be seeing his picture...when you have to go to his page to look at his status. It will not be in your newsfeed--you will not see pic OR status there. You'll have to click on him specifically and go to his page to even see those status'.

Just doesn't sound to me like what you wanted (??)I don't think seeing status' in newsfeed is possible w/o seeing their pic also. I have a girl whose status I watch and I have to see her mug everytime (ick) but I'd rather know what her status says than not so I look at the pic.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but close enough. This friend doesn't post on his wall; he doesn't even have the option activated for other people to post on his wall. Basically, he joined FB so that people would stop bugging him to join! I know it sounds like a really odd situation, and why on earth would I want this guy as a FB friend...believe me, the situation is WAY too complicated to explain!
