My DD's would like to get their faces painted for our trip this month. What are the price ranges and do any of them do an AP discount? I have a deluxe pass.. Thank you!

Our eldest 2 had their faces painted twice two weeks ago. They ranged from $14-$19 the designs they chose. This was in Downtown Disney, not sure about discounts for pass holders.

DD6 did the face painting right outside Pixie Hollow for $17 last September. It was 1/2 her face, from the nose up (you can see photos in my TR), ith 2 colors, pink and white, airbrushed on. We didn't anticipate it being that expensive!

Last time there we paid, I think it was $31 for dd(7) and ds(4). The ladies there, outside pixie hollow, did an awesome job. Unfortunately, about an hour later we went on splash mountain... dd got soaked and ruined the paint job. Fortunately, we did get some good pictures before hand. Overall though, we were very impressed with the detail of the face painting the kids got.

I believe face painting is one of those services that doesn't have an AP discount. I think, like the parasols, they are actually outside vendors.

See:
http://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/discounts/

Merchandise discounts, as applicable, are not valid on artist originals; select collectibles; Disney Dollars; gift cards; gift certificates; admission media; arcades; shipping or taxes.

It's not merchandise or food. It's a "service" so I don't think it qualifies.

Under AP discount page I saw that it listed discount for face painting cart at Downtown Disney. Can someone confirm if in fact it is true?

Thanks for the responses! I'll have to look into the cart in DTD for sure!

My wife and neices did their faces there last spring, just around the side of the Matterhorn (between the mtn and Small World). I want to say it was around $15.

They also told her they would do 1 free touch up anytime during the day. That might come in handy if you do it and have a "Splash Mtn Experience"...
