F&W Festival - Party for the senses vs. eating at the booths

My husband and I, although we have been to WDW *tons* of times, will be attending the Food and Wine Festival for the first time this year.

Currently, we have Party for the Senses reserved for Saturday 11/14th, however DH is somewhat interested in just walking around the world showcase and eating the food, etc. from the booth. Can anyone please compare the foods, wines, etc. from the booths and the Party for the Senses?

To me, it seems like Party for the Senses is a great deal for the money, and it's kind of like having all of the world showcase booths right there for you. Also, I read is some older threads that the food at the Party is much better.

So what do you all think, Party or Booths?

I haven't been to the Party for the Senses, but I have walked around the booths. The food is very good and it's funt o walk around and sample things! For me, walking around the World Showcase on a beautiful day can't be beat by a sit down experience. If I had two days, I'd do both, but if I had only one day, I think I would lean towards the walking around. JMO

We like to do both!!

This will be our third Party for the Senses. I would categorize the PFTS food as being a bit more gourmet than the items in the booths. Each station at the Party has three-four chefs working on each serving - creating an amazing presentation. Addtionally, the wineries represented do a great job of suggesting a wine to accompany anything you happen to be eating at the moment. Any of the chefs/winery representatives are eager to talk to you about their creations/products - especially toward the end of the evening when the lines aren't so long.

That being said - what could be better than walking around the World Showcase - grabbing a different wine/treat at each country?!?!

They are both great - just a different feeling from each.
