F & W and Kids

We will be there during the F&W I was wondering about the samplings you can do from each country that I have heard about. Is this something that picky kids would enjoy or can I count on having to get CS for them for lunch that day? How much do these usually cost and has anyone ever done that instead of eating a meal? We have never been so I'm not sure what to expect

The samplings are $1 to $4 each. Think very small taste of gourmet type food. Each booth usually has a couple entrees/appetizer type things and a dessert or two. Along with that, each booth usually as 2 or 3 types of wines and sometimes a beer from that country.

One year the couple we were with had a six year old with them..lol, she couldn't get enough of the sushi. Cracked us up. But, this wasn't her primary meal..she was just snacking around, like the adults were. As far as a meal for your child, you will probably want to grab them a hot dog/hamburger, or something at one of the quick service restaurants along the way.

These are very small, (think those very small white paper plates) portions. Even when we are eating our way around all day long...sometimes we still enjoy a sitdown meal for dinner. Just depends on how the day is going.

The total you spend eating your way around the world can add up very quickly, since there is so much and it is all pretty good.

We're bringing our little Foodie kids - but they request things like artichokes and goat cheese at the store, so they'll have a blast!

With all the things out there - including desserts and snacks and such - they'll have no problem filling up. You can always grab some things along the way from mexico or china that are pretty kid-friendly, too. But, I'd bet NO ONE goes home hungry at F&WF

Usually the kids fall asleep after they finish off the first couple of glasses of wine.
