Okay, we've done this a few times before, but it has been over a year and I think they have changed things. I ordered my tickets through vacation planning, they called this morning, and said they would be in an itinerary for me at check-in (which is awesome!!), and that I needed to check in no later than 8 pm at the podium by the seating the night of. Now, I know I used to have to get there at 6 and stand in line and pick my seats to get the front row. Do you still do that, but no later than 8?? What is the earliest I can go pick my seats?

We did this in July. The GCH had our reservation tickets when we checked in. You can show up as early as you want and those who want front row seats do check in at 6PM. Since we are teens and adults I did not care about being in the back row as much - at least not enough to show up at 6PM and wait until 8PM. Heck, it is reserved seating. Why show up two hours earlier? Defeats the purpose IMO. Instead we showed up at 7:40 or so, waited until 8PM, got our seat assigments and then took off to do a couple rides before coming back at about 8:50 for the show. :)

Thanks! We have ressies at BB @ 5 I think... so I'll probably just check us in after dinner, and then go screw around until 8:50! :thumbsup2

We did this a few weeks ago and I really wanted the front row so I was there early but NO ONE else showed up until around 7:15. The CM who set up the podium kept me entertained and we talked so much that I didn't even mind the wait. At 7:15ish, another couple came and we all talked together since the woman was celebrating her bday and this was her bday routine. Another 10 minutes later, one other man came and then around 7:30 more people started coming.

There are 75 seats now so there are quite a few front row seats. The best ones are on the right facing the island but really, almost all of the seats are good. If I had it to do again, no way would I go so early. I think I got there around 6:15, maybe 6:30 but for me it was a break while the family did SM and HM and we had just finished dinner at CO so we were right there. Most of the other people didn't come until after 7:30 and then it is sign up for both shows so even if you are far back in line, you still might get front row if the people ahead of you are for a different show.

Once 8 hits, you give your name, pick your seats and are free to go walk around for a while. They won't seat you until at least 8:30 but it was nice to get our drinks and get settled with the food. The kids unwrapped their cheese, moved the grapes to put their drinks in the holder and basically checked everything out before the show started.

Have a great trip!
