I ave to get glasses!



How many here have glasses?
I so don't want them.

i wear glasses. I didn't want to wear them when i got them. Actually i didn't and my eyesight got worse -_- So now i wear them around the house (because i can't be bothered to wear them then take them off everytime i watch TV or go on the computer...) and at school when i can't see the board. I have glasses where the rim isn't that noticable and the lenses have a coating over them to make them less noticable

They make some really cute ones now a days.
Heck I got them when I was 10, and my first pair glowed in the dark.
Now that was cool!

Just curious,why don't you want them?
Do you think people who have them are geeks or something?
Or because you don't want to be teased?

No I think glasses look better on some people. Its just that I don't want anything to be wrong with my eyes! I know, I'm crazy. =p

Yep, I have them. I actuallt went to the eye doctor in 2nd grade and they told me I was just over tired, and thats why my vision was blurry. Fast foward five years and I am back at the same eye doctor...and what do you know, I needed glasses! (duh)

I dont need them for distance, but they are a life saver when it comes to reading!

I actually just got new glasses, they are kind of square with a really deep pink frame. I love them!

Try contacts.
I absolutley adore my contacts, and I couldn't live without them.
Glasses aren't that horrible.
Lots of people need/have them.

Near Sighted. That means that you can only see whats up close, like when you're reading. You'd need glasses for distance.

Far Sighted is when you need stuff for close up and you can see things far away like the chalk board or a tv.

I'm near sighted. I got glasses in 5th grade and in 9th grade I got contacts. I love my contacts I've had them for over 2 years now. I only wear my glasses at night after I take out my contacts.

You might want to try glasses for now because both glasses and contacts are really expensive.

I <3 My contacts. their the best thing ever. at first it was kinda hard to get them in and stuff but after a while you get used to them. - i got contacts right away

If you are truly near sighted then you will have to wear glasses or contacts (which will not make your eyes lazy) to correct your distance vision. Later on when you are in your 20's you can have your nearsightedness corrected with laser surgery.

i'm strange so only one of my eyes are bad, really bad. My other eye is "better than perfect" because it had been working so hard to compensate for my lack of vision in my bad eye. The optometrist said that I couldn't wear glasses because the difference would make me dizzy and give me headaches, so I have been wearing a contact lens in that eye since i was 10. I only wear it for school though because I can see perfectly fine without it due to my other eye. It's great hardly anybody notices, and if they do they really don't care anyway. So you could ask for contacts if you really don't wan't to wear glasses.

The last time I went to the optometrist i saw some really hot glasses with red rims, and i was so jealous of people who can wear glasses lol you could also get both, though that might be expensive. I'm sure you cound find a pair that suits you.

I had an eye appointment Saturday. I'm getting glasses.

I've had them before. I just grew out of them and my prescription went bad.

I was going to get contacts but I decided not to. I may get them later but I really only need glasses for school like taking notes. I don't need to wear them 24/7 like my sister will have to.

So I don't really mind them...............

I used to have them. From like kindergarten to 4th grade.
I liked them sometimes, and sometimes I didn't.
During my 4th grade year I didn't wear them over the summer and then when I went to the eye doctor in like November or something they were better.

I haven't been to the eye doctor since....although I was suppose to go this year....

I wear glasses. I've got this really cute pair, but I still like the way I look better without them. I'm going to my eye doctor in January, and then I'm getting contacts... I've worn glasses since the beginning of 6th grade, so it's been more than two years... I don't ususally wear them on the weekends, unless I'm watching tv or something... I just never put them on...

Absoulutly not true.
If you don't wear your glasses you eyes can get worse tho.
Trust me.
Before I got my contacts, I never wore my glasses. And when I went back to the doctor, they said my eyes were 2 times worse.
So my advise, listen to the doctor, they know what they are talking about, and just wear the glasses.
