I am new here, but I am interested in renting the BCV, I think.
Which resort is the nicest? newest?
I would need 5 nights from July 29th to Aug. 3. If I calculated correctly, I would need 106 pts. for a studio.
Could someone give info. and describe a studio.?
What about a 1 bedroom? Are they alot more points?
Please help.

You can count on just about double the number of points for the one bedroom over the studio. You can find a description of each Resort and some model rooms on Disney's own site www.disney.go.com Just follow the links to the Disney Vacation Club. I have points available for your trip. Let me know if I can help. docdds@aol.com

I just realized I left off the g on renting. Sorry.

Few more questions,
If I rent points, does the price include taxes and are there any other fees involved?

Is there maid service in the villas?

Will I get all the same benefits as anyone else staying at a Disney resort, early entry, etc.?

Are there any other benefits?

Sorry so many questions, but this is sounding pretty good.

DVC members are not charged tax on their points stays, so the rental price per point is all inclusive.

Maid service depends on your length of stay. You'll get a quick trash-and-towel on your third day (or is it fourth?) and a full cleaning on your seventh (eighth?). In a one-bedroom or larger you'll have a washer/dryer in the room, so if you feel the need you can wash towels. We never do (we don't have clean towels every day at home) and we enjoy not having to worry about being disturbed or staying out of the room every day. You can request daily maid service for a fee, if you like.

You do get all on-property perks. DVC resorts are deluxe resorts on Disney property just like GF, AKL, etc. and guests are treated the same or better.

Other benefits MAY include DVC owner benefits depending on how the reservation is made. Typically any stay booked on points, even if for a guest (or renter) will mean you'll have DVC Member on your room key. This will get you assorted discounts and pool-hopping priviledges (except to AKL and BC). You'll get a full listing of them at check-in.

Obviously you'll also have the benefit of the fantastic DVC accomodations! If you're in a one-bedroom you'll have a full kitchen, washer/dryer in the room, two full rooms to spread out in and a huge master suite with king bed, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. In a studio you'll have more space than a deluxe room, plus a mini-kitchen and access to free laundry facilites at the resort (you'll need to provide or purchase your own soap).
