Tonight's EHM family is a really neat family from our church and community. Their home was riddled with mold and their young daughter has a congenital disorder. However, that 10-yr old daughter has raised over $37,000.00 for cancer research for others, not herself. The money raised goes to others, not her. That kind of charity was most certainly learned at home and her parents just recently received word that her foundation was legally up and running. They worked very hard to get the foundation set up to continue her work.

I was impressed with the community outpouring to help. They live in a rural part of the county and we were deluged with rain. The original plan was to use a neighbor's field as a huge parking lot but it was too muddy. (The farmer even voluntarily harvested the field early to help, which cost him lots of money.) Nearby Grisson Air Force Base donated the use of a hanger for the show and our school system donated buses to shuttle the thousands back and forth to the site. Our entire county has a population of only 38,000 and we are one of the poorer ones in the state. To see that kind of support was awesome. I visited the site but was unable to help due to medical restrictions.

DD and DS were at the fence for the "move that bus" segment.

Once again, a great family that deserves a big break.
