Hi everyone! My family is so excited to get back to Disneyland! Well except my soon to be ex husband who is more excited by other women than us so that dude is no longer invited 😆. I already bought the tickets for July. What can I do about the extra ticket? I know they are non refundable, any advice?
Also flying into LBG for the first time, Is it easy to get a taxi? There are six of us.
Thanks in advance, I’m sure I’ll have a million more questions, my mind is obviously a mess right now!

Ive heard of exceptions made at GS. Last one was a similar situation to yours where a divorce was involved. That person wrote a trip report… it’s somewhere on these boards. They had a wonderful trip with their kids 🙂

You can try explain the situation. If all else fails the value of that spare ticket can always be applied to the cost of one you buy in the future.

I don't know about the extra ticket, but it doesn't hurt to try for a refund. Hope you have a fantastic trip! My family will also be flying into Long Beach in November and there will be six of us this time, so I'm also wondering about Taxis and Ubers and if we'll have to take two separate vehicles. Last time we flew there we were able to get a Taxi right out the door.

I’ll search for that report!
Forgot to mention my daughter just got married and this was her honeymoon trip….thank your father kids!

so the trip includes

Me(F43)
DD 24
SiL 25 (his first time!)
DS turning 21 while we are there
DS 14
DS 10

Do you already have hoppers? You could see if guest services could use the funds from the unused ticket to upgrade to them?

I do have hoppers😞

Give guest services a call. I wanted to modify my tickets to add an extra day, but they aren’t allowing modifications right now. They don’t usually allow return/exchanges on tickets, but because of the current circumstances they are making exceptions. In order to modify my tickets, they had to process a return on my old tickets (which will take 8 to 12 weeks) and then I bought new tickets as a completely separate transaction. I got the impression they are being lenient about returns right now, because of peoples’ differing levels of comfort with DLR’s protocols as relates to Covid. For example, if one member of the party was not comfortable with the lack of social distancing that they are seeing in pictures or the lack of people wearing masks, I think Disneyland would make an exception and return a ticket.

LGB is SUPER easy. You'll de-board the plane on the tarmac, walk into terminal, walk by 1-8 gates depending on your airline. You'll walk outside, and then turn to go to baggage claim. They essentially funnel you right to it. There's 3-4 outdoor baggage carrousels (one or two to the right, and one or two to the left). Grab your bags, turn around, and you're looking at the drop off area. Cross the departure lanes (inner 2 lanes), then the arrival lanes (outer 2 lanes). The taxis will be right across the street from that. You can literally see the taxis from the baggage carrousels. Seriously easy!
