I know that the dining plan says a snack can be any of the following: water or soda, ice cream bar, bag of chips, popcorn, and fruit.

However, when I have read several dining plan reports, people mention buying rice krispie treats and other snacks with their leftover snack credits. How was this done? Are they very flexible about this at the resorts?

I think you can try to get other things for snacks with the dining plan. It's probably up to the person at the cash register if you can get it or not.

Just pick something that is a snack type food and tell the cashier you want to use a snack point for the item and see what happens.

I stayed at the All Stars Movies Resort and had 10 snack credits left, I went to the food court and talked to the cashier about using the remainder of my credits for rice krispie treats and she said no problem, lots of people do it. It was a nice souvenir along with autographed postcards for my daughters ballet friends.
We also saved one counter service meal to buy sandwiches, chips, water, and 2 more rice krispies for the plane ride home, we flew Song and they charge $8.00 per meal and $2 per snack.

:wave2:

Actually yes Rice Krispie Treats are included...We had 5 snacks left on our last day so DH got 3 bananas and 2 packs of PB crackers which were not included so the cashier rang them up as oranges for us...Very nice of her!!!
