Extra Magic Hours

Please explain to me what the extra magic hours are & how they work.
I know that they are hours after and before the park open. How do we qualify for them?

You qualify simply by staying at any of the on-site resorts.

So if I use the November park hours as an example November 5th offers EMH. On the shedule it has this "ORANGE* - Extra Magic Hour Morning (Enter 1 hour before the park opens) " and the hours for the Magic Kingdom (in orange) are 9:00-8:00.

So if we are staying on site we could get into the park at 8 am, right??!

Right. Of course, you'll want to be attentive to which park has EMH on what days. At least in August, the AM and PM parks were always different.
