Ok - so I read in the UG (UNofficial guide) that one should attempt to avoid the parks when a EMH is avail because the end result is more crowding.
I havent been since 1987 so...have no idea if this is true or not.

Can someone reveal to me your strategies for dealing with EMHs. Does it depend on the season? Or do you just take the extra hours and roll with the crowds?

:teleport: :crowded:

I go to the AM hour hit the rides that get long line doring the day. When the park opens and the lines start to get long we go to a difrent park. For the pm we show up at the park 1 hr before closing and while everbody is watching the fireworks or parade we do the rides. Then after the firework you still have 3 hr. Do get your braclet for the pm hour early thay start to hand them out 2hr before park closing. Had good time at EPCOT, AND MK pm hour hit all the rides and still had time to kill. That was in Feb

we go off season and do an emh at least once per park, it never is crowded enough afterwards to leave that park. most of what is open for emh am is the stuff that gets busy later so we do those (and then later wait in line if we want to ride again) it's worth it to me, we rode tot and rnr a few times each no wait last mgm emh ( Thenate breakfast :))

pm emh is new since we went last. lots have posted it's packed so that may change things

I tried EMHs last Spring Break. The morning EMHs were fine. The night time one at MK was PACKED!!! :earseek: They were staying open until 3 a.m. I thought that would be too late for many families; I was wrong. I think everyone decided it was the night to go. I heard it was less crowded on a non-EMH night.

:paw: Does anyone know what the evening hours are for AK?

Usually the Evening hours for AK are on Tuesday. When the park closes at 5:00, EMH go til 8:00. I was there 2 weeks ago and LOVED EMH at AK.

Thanks Simba's mom. I have been looking everywhere trying to find this out. Thanks so much. AK is the one park I am looking forward to EMH at night!

I did most of the evening MH last time I went--the crowds didn't seem too much lighter than during the day, but the big difference for me was that the temperature was tolerable at 2am, whereas it wasn't so much at 2pm... :earsboy:

We always do the EMH mornings and we enjoy them but we have never done the EMH for evening. We would like to try but with 2 young kids we like to get back to the resort and to bed .

I read on another site that AK's busiest days are M, T, W. Yet I've also read that AK is busiest on the weekends. HELP!! Th and Fr are not options for us as we (DH and I) arrive Sat. Dec 10 and return home on Wed the 14th.

Thank you!!

PS Got my ADR's this morning: Les Chefs, Citricos, Olivia's, R&C. It's DH's 40th b-day trip so I wanted to make sure we got evening dinners at 7 or 7:30 and we did!

:paw: MHF :paw:

I know it can change from week to week, but Labor Day weekend, EMH at Animal Kingdom (according to the schedule, I didn't experience it all myself) on 9/3 were 8 AM to 9 PM!!! That's right - morning AND evening EMH on the same day!

We went to EMH nights on our June trip. The lines were longer than a regular busy day! :earseek: :earseek:

Bring bad ERIDE Nights!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

:earsboy: If you are staying in the park I would go to that park right at opening time, when crowds get busy @ lunch, leave and go to another park or swim, etc.

If you are staying off Disney property I would avoid that park all together.

Anyone agree/disagree??
