Anyone have an opinion on extra magic hours for disney resort guests. Is it better to go to morning or evening park with emh or to avoid that park? We'll be there the week before Memorial day. Thanks!

went to the park that had EMH the nite before and it was great--

we started the parks on a Wed am--Epcot had EMH on Tue nite so we went to EPCOT we got there around 10 and actually did the whole park by around
800!!!

we were only there for 4 full days so we didnt have enough time to ride our favorites more then once but we got everything in!!!

good luck and have a great trip

Morning is always better if you can manage it... People have issue's waking up early (I am one of them :lmao: ). Evenings can be a hit or miss kind of deal... they will almost always be crowded at the start but as it gets later people usually start filtering out and it becomes much more manageable.. at least in my experience :thumbsup2

I think it's less crowded in the morning than during the night.

During my first (and last) evening Epcot EMH I thought there would hardly be anyone there.

WRONG!

I was shocked at the sudden influx of people for EMH! I thought to myself certainly all those people couldn't be staying onsite, but they all were! It was a Friday, and that might've had something to do with it. It was wall to wall people in World Showcase, and this was in May. (I think..could've been February. They say the mind is the first thing to go!)

Give me the morning EMH over evening any time!

I prefer smaller crowds, so therefore avoid EMH, both AM and PM. EMH is a crowd magnet.

I found out the hard way last year.....avoid EMH in the evening. It's not worth fighting the crowds.
The morning EMH is great though because a lot of people don't get out and about that early. :thumbsup2

I have to admit I don't bother. I have fought to get into the EMH too many times. I forget I'm supposed to be chillin'. It's a vacation and I'm running around like a mad woman, trying to do "everything," before everyone else does. Where's the vacation?

I get there when I get there and let nature take her course. OMO, but it's what works for my family.

AVOID!!

The lines seem to be longer for the whole day at the EMH park of the day. There was a EMH at Epcot, and we were at the Magic Kingdom. Most waits were 5 minutes or less around 8:00pm.

We went to the morning EMH at Disneyland this past summer, and it was great! Pretty darn empty. We went to the evening EMH at MK this past February, and it was ok. Not nearly as good as when they had the "e-ride nights," and would require wristbands at night.

We're going this February, and we'll make sure to do the AK morning EMH. That sounds great! We plan on going to MGM when they have the morning EMH, but going around 3PM, figuring there's not all that much to do there, so folks will probably leave after the parade.

I'm always grateful for the folks here who always avoid the EMH's.

I makes more room for me to enjoy the HECK out of my extra fun at the parks, early and late.

I have done morning EMH several times and have always gotten quite a bit accomplished in that park before noon.

Last Sat morn was EMH for MGM. We rode ToT, RnR, Star Tours, Movie Ride, and Muppet Vision in one hour.

You hit the nail on the head. I personally either do the early morning hours or avoid altogether, because like you said, the evenings are much more crowded and I can't stay up late

We did EMH at Epcot, MK and MGM in Octobrt and found the extra hour in the morning to be brilliant as the crowds were so low. It was a drag to be up so early, but definitely worth it. The boys got on the first ride of the day at TOT and then did RRC within 10 minutes. Wait times in the afternoon were up to 90 minutes!

we never go to the park that is hosting EMH. We always chose another park hoping to find less crowds with the the resort guests at the emh park

I always go to the morning EMH - stay until noon & then judge the crowds to stay or hop. That first hour is really great & the parks fill up after a couple hours.

BUT : I have a question : I am thinking of going to Animal Kingdom for just the evening EMH , doing a few things then taking another day for the rest. We are not there for the AK morning EMH - I've never done evening before - anyone with experience at AK EMH evenings???
Thanks

Our last trip was during spring break (huge crowds). We took advantage of both early and evening EMH. Both worked great for us.

if you have kids i recommend mornings.

couples or older teens, evenings.

we always do emh evenings.

Got back last week. EMHam is always better; yo can get more done. The evening was far more busier - so we went the morning after an evening EMH. THis worked a treat!
