Extra Magic Hour questions

If I am staying on site and have access to Extra Magic Hour, where do I go? Is it clearly marked?

I know people show up about 30/45 minutes before park opening does that apply to EMH too?

I am planning on using my EMH every day we are there except for the first day when we arrive mid day, does this make sense? We will have hoppers.

Yes. It's very easy. Only a few gates will be admitting people for emh but you'll easily know which ones. They will be the only ones actually letting people into the park that early. Usually the far left DL turnstiles, as you face the park. DCA seems to use middle turnstiles. Either way you won't be confused when you get there.

As for timing, personally we leave our rooms half hour prior. Plenty of time to walk over and go through bag check and get to the gates.

I would say you will need more time for DL than DCA as it is also offered to people with select type of park hoppers so there will be more people there. Do give yourself a fair amount of time for security (30 minutes or so at the max). I was there at a non-peak time and inexplicably a ton of people showed up during EMH who could not get in and did not have the right passes. They clogged up both security and the actual lines to get in as I don't think they actually checked the park opening times and assumed if others were allowed in the park must be open lol.
