Extra Magic Hour -need Keys/

Can anyone tell me if every single persom in your room will need a room key to get wrist band for the extra magic hour? I'm not sure if I want to carry around room keys for all my kids. Or can we just show one room key and then get the wrist bands?

I've been following this on another thread, and so far the consensus is that yes, everyone needs their own key except kids under 3 who will still get a wristband, but wouldn't have to (or be able to) show a key to get it. But you (or they) will have to carry everyone elses.

Everyone will have a room key with their name on it. You will need to show them to get the wristbands.

Someone said you just have to show a room key. So there is no way they are validating this. Someone shows a room key then passes it to all their relatives who are staying offsite? Seems like a lot of room for cheating!

Thanks for your replies...so do the keys have everyone's name on it or does each person get their own individual key.

Each person gets their own individual key. Everytime I've gone before, all the keys had my name on them (because I'd booked the reservation in my name), but I heard that starting on Jan 2nd, they would list individual names on each key.

Still..are they swiping the cards? Someone said you just 'show' your card.

Every person in the room over the age of 3 will have their own plastic room key with their name on it. It is as valuable now as your entry ticket (and IS your entry ticket on some plans). For the early hours and for getting onto Disney transportation in the morning, they pretty much were only wanting to see A valid hotel ticket or (in the case of transportation privileges) a park pass. However, to get the evening writs bands, they checked every person's hotel card. People were trying every trick they could think of to get a wristband or to get on a ride without one, but I did not see anyone get away with it.
