Extra hour days? Should I stay away or go

Hi
I'm going to disney during President's week for five days. We do not have the park hopper option and have two children that regularly go to bed around 8:30. They are 7 and 8 years old. The extra hour days are a great idea and would keep the kids out late a few nights, but should I go to the parks that have extra hours (we are staying at the resort), or should we avoid them on those days because they will be more crowded than the other parks on those days?
Thanks

I always go on EMH days. The kids often stay up later than at home, and the EMH days don't affect them or us in any way. Always try to stay until the very end (even if you go after it starts) the parks always clear out the last hour.

Our experiences have been that the parks with the extra hours (am or pm) are usually quite a bit more crowded that on a non-extra hours day. The only time we'll do a extra hours park is in the morning from opening until about 11:00. By then the park really begins to fill up. We then leave and go to a different park. I know that's not an option for you with out the park hopper option so I would avoid the extra hours park.

Having the extra hours is ok, but the park is more crowded so it takes longer to do stuff. It's kind of like going at Spring Break or in the summer. There are a lot more people in the parks but the hours are longer so you can still do everything you want to do, but everyone is more tired because you're at the parks longer to accomplish the same things.

Thanks for your replys. I was planning on going to the extra hour days, but then it hit me. Wow, its going to be busy! I'd rather spend less hours at the parks and have the kids rested up a little more. They're always in a much better mood when they're rested. I think I'll stay away. Thanks again.

The morning extra hour is worth it - the night-time one isn't, IMOP. Everyone stays in the park, whether they are resort guest or not, not shop or eat. Then all the resort people come in. It's very crowded.

Do the morning hour, then get to another park around eleven.

I would stay away from the AM emh parks for the daytime and return to the park that has emh a nite-you will need hoppers. everyone without a hopper will be at the emh am. the nightime emh crowd thins out and is really worth it. my wife and I stayed till 11:45pm at mk this past nov-while our 3 teens packed it in around 10:30. :wizard:
