We're staying at ASMu Nov. 29-Dec 6, and I'm pretty sure we'll add dining and turn it into a package. I know that all people staying in a room must be on the same dining plan.

But... my mom may join us for 3 or 4 nights. She's a preschool teacher with no vacation time (she gets summers off) and only 2 personal days per year, so there's no way she could do the whole week. We're willing to pay an "extra adult" fee, if that's required, and we'd put her on the dining plan for the nights she's there. But is it even possible to add her for only 3 or 4 of the 7 nights we'll be there?

The other option is that my brother and his girlfriend will be there the 4 nights my mom is likely to join us, also at ASMu, but in a regular room. I guess they could add her to their room/dining plan, but she could sleep in our room to give them... privacy.;) Is this "cheating"? She'd still be a paying Disney guest, so I don't know why they'd care where she's sleeping.

Sorry so long, but I'd appreciate any suggestions.

As long as you do not exceed capacity she can stay in the room w/ you if you add her to your package it will have to be for the entire time the only other option you have is to add her to your room when you get there and she will not be eligible for the ddp. If she is on you brothers package they are not the room police so you will be fine.

Thanks for the info. We're 2 adults and 2 kids, so we could have her in our room (fam. suite) without going over capacity. It's good to know we could add her on when she got there (without dining). Her bosses are pretty crappy to her (basically looking for a reason to fire her after 26 years of service so they can hire a new grad for $8/hr.) I'm worried they'll tell her at the last minute that she can't take her personal days, and make her choose between her job and vacation. They just did this to her last week, but it was only a day of Christmas shopping that we had to cancel. I guess we'd still lose money on her airfare, but at least we won't have to pay a penalty for a package change. Sorry for the OT rant... thanks for the info. ;)

She gets summers off. Last I checked that is about three months. ?????
Have fun on your trip.

Thanks! She does end up getting about 2 months off, but with no paycheck, of course. And we're trying to avoid Disney in July at all costs. :rotfl:
