Extra Evening hours: Do I need to have park reservation for that park if I do not have a park hopper ticket?

Staying at WL in June but we do not have park hopper tickets and the Disney does not post extra magic park schedule yet. Do you have to have a reservation for that park that day? Concerned because MK and HS reservations many times are unavailable to switch close to the vacation and I have no idea when Disney will put those on the schedule. We have younger children in our group and so buying park hoppers did not seem to make sense for us since we plan to go back for an afternoon break and of course the cost.

Thank you! That is what I thought. Hopefully there will be reservation availibility when Disney posts extra evening hours.

I thought the Extended Evening Hours were pretty well established as Epcot on Mondays and MK on Wednesdays. There's only been a couple of exceptions in the past 6 months since it started. I suppose things could change, but I'd recommend going with that plan until you hear differently.

And yes, you will need either a theme park reservation for that park or a park hopper to participate in the extended evening hours.

The pattern is pretty obvious and the first week of June is up already. M Epcot, Weds MK. I'd reserve now as if that's the pattern, and then change if you need to. You can modify park reservations in the app.

Wanted to confirm- you don’t have to book the theme park for extended evening hours if you have a park hopper/AP?

Or should we book anyway to be safe???
