Extra activities for teenage boys at DLR?

We’ll be going with two teenage boys, ages 15 & 17, end of July for 4 days.

Besides riding and eating, what do your teenage boys like to do at DLR?

Do they still have the sedway tours?

Are there any clubs for teenagers in DTD?

Segway tours were discontinued last September with all the DCA construction. And you have to be 16 years old. We did it with teen boys 16 and 17. If it were running still and your kids were 16 I think it would be great for you.

Ideas for teens - let them head out on their own if they are inclined and do the headliners.

Activities my boys liked included sleep. We agreed that they would come with us two mornings for rope drop and otherwise we left them to sleep and headed out in the morning.

Another thing my boys liked was eating. They liked Blue Bayou, Plaza Inn, Wine Country Tratorria, Storytellers all-you-can-eat buffet, and Tortilla Jo's.

As for rides teen boys will especially like Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Midway Mania.

Can't think of any teen clubs at DTD. In DCA theres Electronica that teens seem to enjoy and in DL at night there is often a band playing in Tomorrowland very popular with the teen crowds.

In the fall Knotts is a huge teen hangout with their Halloween nights.

There is Ridemakerz in Downtown Disney where you can build and customize a remote control car.

I have twin boys, they were almost 17 when we went last summer. They would never dream of sleeping in! They go off on their own usually for the first part of the morning. They love the water rides and head for Splash first thing and ride a zillion times in a row.
Of course, they love to eat and have lots of snacks.
They like the big rides (but one does not like TOT) and they also are willing to give some of the smaller rides a try too. They will also meet up with us around lunch time (because we have the food money) and go see shows and things with us too.

The year before last, I couldn't get them in hardly any pictures. All I got was eye rolling . So last summer I made up a picture scavenger hunt with prizes. The more pictures they took of each other with specific things around the park, the better the prizes got. They weren't big prizes, but most of them involved free snacks. It worked and I got a lot more pictures of them this last summer.

PS- I just asked one of them, out of curiosity, to see what his favorite thing to do there was. He said go on rides and eat. Especially eating all different things everyday.

My 14 year old likes elecTRONica - esp laserman when he performs ( and the dancing girls don't hurt). Flynn's arcade is good for a little while too.

The only club I can think of in DTD is the House of Blues - but they have professional acts and it can get pricey/crowded/even a little rough if a punk-ish band is playing.

My teenage boy loves to just go do what he wants most of the time, as long as he meets up with us and keeps in contact with us. He is very responsible there and really enjoys the freedom. We stay onsite so, he really loves the business of the GC lobby, the workout room and the pool area. It is very easy here for a teenager to occupy himself, two will have a great time together.

There's a bowling alley at Gardenwalk.

The Anaheim Angels will be in town July 19-21.

No teen clubs in DTD.. your boys are young enough (and old enough) that they should be able to have a bunch of fun if you let the two of them explore the parks alone. I know there is always pressure to have all of your fun together at the park but just remember that a little breather from each other can ease the inevitable I'm-going-to-rip-my-hair-out-because-I'm-at-a-crowded-theme-park situations. They're probably at the age where they like to do their own thing a little, so just keep in mind they want to have their own fun too
