I think I read that FD was extended through 2008 for Disney Visa cardholders. Can anyone confirm this? If so, when were the dates past October 3rd offered? Thanks!

If you mean when were they offered as in when was in announced - I booked my trip September 13th so very close to that date.

If you mean what were the extended dates - I know it was most of the dates between the beginning of October and the end of the year - people even got stays that included Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don't think anyone can predict if they will extend FD again this year or when they will announce it if they do. Last year was a surprise. I guess it will depend on how the economy is by later this summer.

I don't remember the October 2008 dates, but there were limited dates for check-in in November and just 12/14-12/20 for check in for December.

Thanks for the info. Right now I have the goverment rate at the Dolphin from 10/30-11/4. If they extend the free dining to those dates, I will just cancel those ressies and switch to a Disney resort. Keeping my fingers crossed!

According to mousesavers, the Disney Visa Cardholder free dining offer for last fall was released on 9/18/08 (my b-day!) and included stay dates from 9/28-12/20/08. There were many black out dates within that time frame, though. HTH.

Last September Disney Destinations sent out some emails that offered free dining pin codes for select dates in October, November and December, 9/28-10/11, 11/9-11/22 and 12/12-12/20 to be exact . These emails were random, not for the general public, and the codes were non-transferrable. About two weeks after that Disney Visa sent out a free dining code for their card holders for the same select dates in October, November and December. Those pin codes were not part of the regular Fall Dining promotion and there was no general public fd code offered for any of those dates.

We had the free dining last year with Disney Visa in November. I've got my fingers crossed too that they offer it to Disney Visa cardholders. Let's hope.

Free dining was NOT extended! There was a completely separate offer for completely separate dates for DVC holders and pincode recipients

Disney Visa holders had an offer for various dates between Sept 28 through Dec 20. We took advantage of the offer starting Sept 28. Many had free dining with this offer over Christmas as well. As long as your first day of stay was Dec 20, you could book through Dec 31 and get FD for the trip.

Thats exactly what I said. Free dine was not extended. That would mean free dining was available to everyone.

Free dine was NOT extended. Extended means the former end point was dismissed and a new end point was created. The general public free dine ended in early october. A completely separate offer was available for DVC holders for completely separate dates. There was NO extension of free dining. That was my point. I just dont want the general public thinking that free dining will be extended into december for them which it never has been
