Interestingly UCA College Nationals is having "Extended Park Hours" Friday night at HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS.

They are not calling it "Extended Evening Hours" like some other Cheer Events.


Is there a Celebration Party or Extended Hours this season? Yes! We are excited to bring back the Extended Park Hours on Friday night as well as the Celebration Party on Sunday night! These are included for those on the Hotel Travel Package. For the Extended Park Hours, teams will need to either make a reservation for Hollywood Studios for that day, or have another park reservation for that day and hop to Hollywood Studios that evening. Entering Hollywood Studios for extended park hours will use one day on your Park Pass. Those attending the Celebration Party, do not need a Theme Park reservation Magic Kingdom on their ticket for that event. For commuters, you can purchase tickets for the Celebration party.

Did this competition already occur? When I googled it said it was Jan 14-16. I'm going in Feb and I think there are some cheer competitions while we're there but I'm hoping we won't intersect with this celebration party at MK, as we had planned to do MK on a Sunday

well, crap! haha. I was using crowd calendars to plan our trip, but I don't know if they took that into account. Now I'm second-guessing our schedule...not sure how much the cheer thing will affect our experience

Oh wait…I’m confused. There’s a dance competition that I’m mixing up with cheer the next week. Now I’m not sure if the dance people will be at the after hours on Friday February 4th or not. Maybe someone can help straighten me out lol

A search on disney cheer 4 feb 2022 yields a
2022 National Dance Team Championship February 4-6th, 2022 at WDW.
Following that link yields a page with a FAQ that contains the verbiage:

So it seems like they are ditching MK Evening on 4 Feb for HS instead and have a MK party on 6 Feb. I hope that is true.

Curiouser and curiouser
I changed my search to 11 feb and got a cheer thing for feb 11-13. It is by the same parent website and has a similar FAQ that is basically the same words in html instead of pdf. So that is also Friday at HS and Sunday at MK. So why would Disney have MK EE on Friday the 4th of Feb unlike all other weeks where MK EE is on Wednesdau? It seems like the Feb 11 group will clearly be at HS Friday. But shoving the Feb 4 group into MK would be way cheaper for WDW.

I have a bad feeling about this.
