Hello DIS folks,

We are going to US & IOA next year in May/June and are wondering if there is a need for Express Passes? We have a party of 11 and most will want to do the rides. The cost isn't that bad, approx $26 per person, but I am wondering how busy the parks would be?

Any help would be great! :yay:

Hard to tell. However, conventional wisdom is to wait until you're in the parks and can see the lines for yourself and then intelligently judge their worth to you. Express passes bought in advance are non-refundable and date-specific. The only potential downside is that the cost of the Express passes may increase between now and your visit. Even so, I would wait.

Regardless of when you go, you should always wait until you arrive to purchase EPs. However...your party is pretty big so if you wanted to ride together you would need to purchase Express passes but again...don't do anything until you arrive.

Thanks for the information, I wasn't aware that you could buy them on the day. Is there somewhere on the website which gives you the cost or is that based on 'people through the door' already and time of year obviously.

For the cost, I may just opt to buy them ahead, then if the lines are not too busy the kids will get to do a fast pass ride and then take the general line if they want to do it again. Foolish - maybe, but some of the family are travelling from the UK and have never been before and I would hate for them to miss something cause they are having to wait in line for the biggest and best.

The prices are based on the anticipated crowd level for that particular day and the prices really vary.

Here's the link to the EP pricing chart:

Your dates won't be updated for a while but you can get a general idea.

Just remember...EPs are date specific and non-refundable.
