Express Passes

There are 4 of us going to Universal/Islands of Adventure so therefore we will have 4 tickets. I don't ride much and neither does my husband so I was wanting to buy on 2 fast passes for our two teenage children. If I wanted to ride with one of them are the passes transferrable or not. They say not but does a pass go with a certain ticket or what. How does that work. I have to buy 4 and only use all 4 of them once or twice. Let me know if anyone else has done this or how it works. Any other pointers, let me know. We are going to Sea World also.

I don't believe there are any biometrics on the passes so it shouldn't matter who uses it. Remember that you can only use the passes once on each ride.

The only way to get unlimited express passes is to stay onsite. Then that perk is included with your room rate and your room key serves as your express pass.

No, the Marriott Sea World would not have the onsite express pass perk.

Only the three hotels onsite, the Royal Pacific, the Hard Rock Hotel and the Portofino Bay Hotel offer the onsite unlimited Express Passes.

Any other hotel, if you want Express Pass access, you need to buy the express passes which offer you one Express Line entrance per ride.

If you are going to buy them for your teenagers, you might want to look into the price difference between the Marriott + Express passes and one night at an onsite hotel.

If you stay one night at an onsite hotel, you actually get 2 full days of unlimited FOTL. You get FOTL from the minute you check in to park closing the day you check out.

The three onsite Universal hotels are the Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and the Portofino Bay Hotel. Staying at one of these three will get you the unlimited express pass for the length of your hotel stay.
