Express Pass Worth it Week Before Christmas?

Going one day to Universal Islands of Adventure Wed, Dec. 22 this year. I've heard week before Xmas isn't bad at the beginning but gets more crowded as the week goes on. My kids aren't tall enough to ride Dragon Challenge, Incredible Hulk and Doctor Doom. The Express pass is $26 that day. Do people think the pass is worth it for us if we are going one day that time of year but can't ride those rides?

You shouldn't need the EP before Christmas but you can purchase them at either park once you arrive. I would not recommend buying them ahead of time.
