Given that we are staying on site (RPH), what is the worst wait I should expect in the park, considering we get the Express Pass? Does staying on property help at all with getting seated at the restaurants in the park or at Citywalk?

Thanks.... Paul

If you are going next week, I'd say you probably have 5 minutes or less. In the busier times, it can get up to about 15 minutes. Many of the rides have very low wait times now anyway.

U get priority seatting at most restaurants in the park and on citywalk although some nights friday and saturday it does not work at some restaurants on citywalk:jester:

You will have little to no waits. That pass is like gold!!!!

Wait a minute...

We stayed at RPR and went to IOA on Sunday Oct. 12 and the express lane wait for the Hulk took us over 35 minutes and the Ripsaw Falls was at least a 30 minute wait...and yes the both rides were working non-stop.

I also kept hearing the staff at both the front desk and concierge telling guests by using the room the wait times were "Guaranteed" to be 15 minutes or less...

Not quite a perk as they are now selling passes at the gate...what a scam...too many express passes!

No I don't think a scam if express queue was 30min then how long would u have waited ih the regular line u will not find it listed anywhere that room key guarantees 15 min or less wait your room key at present is a perk other people buy the express booklets between $10-$20 per person per day family of 4 could spend $80/day easily for only 1 express ticket per attraction remember the quickest way to lose a perk is to run it down

It's not "guaranteed". It's approximate. There is a little disclaimer on the map (and elsewhere, I'm sure) that says "Anticipated maximum wait time 15 minutes." Things like technicial difficulties, or a very high concentration of express guests can increase the express wait. Either way, your wait is less than the normal queue, unless unforseen circumstances occur.

How exactly does the pass work? I know it's your room key. If there are 2 of us in a room I suppose we we each need our own room card key to show... Is there a seperate line like a fastpass return at Disney? Is there an attendant that you show the card to? Just curious on how this will work.

There is a seperate line just like the fast pass at Disney its called the Express pass line at Universal also if u don't see it just show room key to cm who will direct u to line and yes everyone must have a keycard:jester:

You will have to show your room key (or other express pass) twice at most attractions. First at the greeter (who may or may not scan your pass), then at the next attendant (who will scan your pass if it hasn't been scanned already).

I'd say lose the perk or stop selling the passes.
If you think Disney's FastPass gets lines...these lines are even worse due to there being 3 different ways to get the passes at Universal.

Granted when we last went two years ago...before they were selling the passes...all the rides were walk-ons..no waits for room card holders...I guess I got spoiled.

Have fun at the RPR...the walls are paper thin. Wink,Wink,Nugde,Nudge...if you know what I mean.

They do keep track of the express flow, and they do limit the number of free passes and sold passes accordingly. Express does its best to keep the wait short(er) for those who have it.
