Me and my DH will be in Orlando for four nights starting Christmas Day (not my choice of times, it is a family trip) and plan on going to Universal Studios on the day after Christmas. I assume that the lines will very long so I am planning on buying express passes. My question is how far in advance do I need to buy them? Do they often sell out? My only concern is that on the
26th it will be 50 degrees and raining and we won't want to go and will be out almost $100.

If you get there early you could do the biggest attractions before most of the crowds arrive. The wait times will very long on the 26th and the fact that it's a Friday/weekend won't help any. It just depends on how long you're willing to wait in line. I don't know if the EP's would be sold out that day but there's a decent chance. If you know you're going on that day regardless of the weather, go ahead and get them now.
