explain dining plan start up please

Please help me out.
We had to book two separate "stays" in order to take advantage of free dining that starts on 11/26. We arrive and have a one night stay 11/25. Free dining starts 11/26. Will we be able to use dining that day or do we have to wait til 11/27? I feel like I read somewhere that it isn't valid on the arrival date, but rather the next.

Your dining plan credits can be used on 11/26, but not until you check out of the resort you are at 11/25 and physically check in at the new resort.
