EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

For those who have stayed at the BC and GF Sugarloaf CL - how would you compare the CR Atrium club? I thought the BC and GF lounges were incredibly crowded and busy at times. It seems there are fewer rooms at the CR, or at least there are two lounges for a similar number of rooms. The GF Sugarloaf seemed to have trouble keeping up with replenishing food, the BC did not have this issue. How does CR compare?

Just returned from an extended CL stay - blizzard in the NE cancelled our return flight so we had a few extra days.
We have stayed at several different Club levels and have to say that WL is truly the best!! Huge shout out and thank you to all the cast members but especially Christine who truly went above and beyond to assist with the change in our plans and making the process smooth. She was wonderful!!!
Also Sam in housekeeping went above and beyond-- service like this is not often seen.
Planning our next trip back to the lodge!
LOVE these boards!!!

This is great to hear! Just read a not-so-great review of WL CL on the WL thread. We may be in for lots of WL in the next 12 months, since we booked a stay there in March of this year and it's at the top of our list for Princess Half Marathon next year. One of the concerns was related to the lounge space - the fact that it lines the hall instead of being located in one room. I hadn't thought about that, as it seemed cool to overlook the lobby. What do others think? In the Poly lounge earlier this month, my husband and my dad used the TV for football - is there a TV available at WL in the lounge?

P.S. I know football will be finished by the Princess Half next year, but basketball . . .

We've stayed BC CL, but our GF experience is only RPC. I'll throw in our two cents, but Erika could provide a more direct comparison.

CR Atrium Club didn't feel crowded to me in the least. I think the large windows overlooking MK and the balcony space gave it a less crowded feel. Even when the lounge was "full" it didn't feel like we were on top of other guests, and the food area was never crowded during our stay. I'd probably rank the food offerings at CR pretty low compared to other CLs, so replenishing wasn't as much of an issue because it seemed like fewer options were available in the first place. But I thought the lounge was extremely comfortable and, at least during our stay, other guests were among the best we've encountered in terms of not monopolizing particular seats, etc. The CMs were really friendly, but not hovering. We've stayed CL at BC, GF RPC, Poly, BWI, AKL and CR. Of those, CR ranks one of the highest for lounge comfort and atmosphere.

I'm glad to hear that it's a roomy lounge. I really love the BC and loved the lounge there during the off hours, and the staff was incredible. The morning mob scene with a lot of people in a small space was a little stress inducing. When we were at the GF, it was a weekend where the RPC was closed, so Sugar Loaf was full to capacity. We never managed to try any of the appetizers, they'd be gone as soon as they came out. We're not usually big on the appetizer offerings, the timing just doesn't seem to work out.

All the CLs seemed to have nice desserts, which is my kids' favorite - aside from the chips and dip in the afternoon, that is. Hopefully the CR has those? It just wouldn't be the same without the chips!

I haven't been here lately and I'm freaking out with this new layout! My avatar is gone, my tags are gone, I don't know who I am or what I'm doing! LOL :faint:

BC CL DELUXE RM- OCT 16-24 FOOD FEST RES CANCEL

I wanted to post that I have am about to cancel a reservation for the above time at BC CL in a Deluxe Room Water View tomorrow. After much wrestling and board stalking, we decided to rent points for a 2bd villa at VGF. So, we can test drive DVC and because well, TEA! Anyway, if you were looking to go in that space, this should be available. I booked it last year and those rooms are sold out.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INCREDIBLE INFO!!!

I haven't stayed at Sugarloaf either, only RPC. But I can tell you the Atrium club lounge is very nice and of course the view is AMAZING! :) There isn't a ton of seating but we are always more likely to take our snacks back to our room anyway. I thought the staff did a great job keeping the food and drink replenished, if you go back to page 1 I think there's a link to my trip report. We really loved our stay.

I know!!!!
My WL Vet tag that I have had for 10 years is gone!!!

Hi All :wave2: I just booked my first CL stay and my first ever WL stay, yay! I have a quick question about the coffee in the lounge, do they offer real milk or half & half? I don't care for coffeemate type creamers. Thanks!

Your question has been answered, but I wanted to say I hope you have a great time at the WL. WL CL was our first CL stay and we were blown away. The lounge is nice with plenty of seating, the food offerings are great, and the CL CMs are amazing!! Have a great trip :wizard:.

We have not stayed CL at the WL (We will in April - can't wait) but all the others that we stayed offered real milk. BC, YC, GF, and the BWI.

WL CL is amazing, I'm sure you'll have a great time :goodvibes.

Glad you had a great time and loved WL CL (it's one of our favorites). Sorry about the cancelled flight, but glad you were able to stay at Disney a few more days. The WL CMs are great, I'm glad it was a smooth process to extend your stay :).

:wave2:Hi there everyone. I'm trying to ignore the changes to the board....:surfweb:

Anyway, has anyone here stayed at the Polynesian CL lately? It's been a few years since we've been to WDW, so just wondering what the offerings are like these days. Thanks. princess:

So I am sure this may have been asked, but I can't for the life of me find a place to search the boards for topics… Other than that, I like some of the new options! Just takes some getting used to. And I wish the app still worked :-/

ANyway, contemplating an upgrade to CL at BWI. Can anyone shed some light on CL there? Sample menu offerings? Is the lounge open all day (even when food's not out)? How does it compare to WL CL (our only experience with CL so far)?

TIA!

so last week I spoke to Janice via text..yesterday to Lauren.

They are helping me coordinate my daughter's photoshoot for Saturday morning in some spaces around the GF! I can't wait!! 3 sleeps!

Hi Pixarmom! I loved the lounge space at the Old Faithful Club. There is an area with a TV for adults in one corner of the lounge, and a kid's TV and area in another corner. I have stayed SL and Poly club levels and the WL was the most relaxed of the three. They weren't at capacity because of the refurb taking place on the south wing, so I don't know how much more busy it might feel if fully booked.

I liked the layout as there are beautiful views of the lobby and of the courtyard and lake and there was plenty of space. It didn't feel like a hallway at all. It was much less hectic that the SL lounge, and while nothing can compare to the view from the Poly lounge, the peaceful atmosphere was delightful. At both SL and Poly I often brought my lounge goodies back to my room to enjoy on my balcony (I was in a TPV room at the Poly, so couldn't get enough of my balcony), but I enjoyed the lounge at WL so much I loved hanging out there. My whole experience was terrific and I can't wait to go back.

Here are a couple of photos. The first one shows a glimpse of the TV in the left midde area of the picture. There are comfy chairs and sofas over in that part of the lounge. To the right of the tables are big windows looking out over the courtyard and lake. The second one is an early morning view from my favorite table in the lounge.

We're staying at WL CL for our first ever trip to WDW! I'm so excited to both be at WDW and to be able to stay club level! A quick question...does anyone know if the lounges can provide gluten free offerings? I have celiac, and I don't want to miss out!

So just for laughs: Since AKL CL IPO (is that the right acronym?) emails you that really long, poorly-edited email about all their services and asking when you'll arrive and such, I replied to it and politely requested a King bed if possible.

I also said something along the lines of "Oh, and if there's any chance you could snag us a lunch FP or ADR for Be Our Guest..."

Their response could be summed up as "lol."

It was worth a try.

The Old Faithful Club lounge is one of my favorites as well :). I love how open and airy it is and I agree about the views of both the lobby below and the courtyard. I can't compare it to the Poly lounge as we've never experienced that, but I do agree that the WL lounge isn't as hectic as the GF SL lounge (I didn't care for SL at all). We are looking forward to trying Poly CL later this year, but WL CL always comes into consideration when we talk about where to stay next.

You are going to love WL CL!!! I'm pretty sure you can speak to a CL CM and let them know your needs/restrictions as they are usually very accommodating when it comes to guests special needs, but since I don't have experience with those types of requests, hopefully others will be able to confirm that or give some helpful information :flower3:.

I would like to know this too. My DH has poultry allergies and I need to be prepared on evenings when the offerings are poultry heavy. I've emailed the IPO but wanted to check here too. I hope I like this one as much as RPC and YC CL. DH doesn't like the new Polynesian lobby but hopefully the lounge will make up for it.

Booked Poly CL for Oct., if I use the IPO to book all my ADR's and later change my Poly reservation to standard non CL will I lose those ADR's?

We are staying CL at the Boardwalk at the end of the month. Does checking in online make things go faster, or does it not matter either way? Thank you!
