EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

You will love tea time

My family enjoyed the close proximity to the pool too. :goodvibes

While it doesn't have a TPV both views, marina or pool are quite lovely.:cloud9:

There are pics of the new rooms on page 1 of gf thread if needed.

Also since the lounge is small I often took items to our room. They keep trays in a cupboard in the lounge, just ask for one.

i agree. we enjoyed sl and I'm always surprised to hear that so many people on here don't like it. I would happily stay at SL again.

I haven't seen that anywhere. But I've witnessed plenty of wine abuse so it wouldn't really surprise me. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards
i have been bottles disappear to rooms before. Cast members know and some are fine with it. That I have witnessed.

I was on the BOG waiting list last month, took about 2 weeks for them to get us a table. So I think you have a good chance. :thumbsup2

Congrats on all your planning success! :) I just have one tip to add. I would distract DD, maybe send her to the lounge for a snack with your husband or other family member and double check the room first to make sure the welcome gift is there. We've had mixed experiences with this working, sometimes it will already be in the room and sometimes not.

YEAH! Good to know about BOG!!!

I was going to do something like that anyways, because I want to get DH a big Goofy hat and DD and myself some ears, and put it all together with my "welcome letter" from Mickey and Minnie... :)

I'm hoping for a Marina view- my son would love to watch the monorail. :)Thanks for the tip about the trays! Do they allow you to take them outside of the building (i.e. to the pool)?

You will love tea time .

I'm looking forward to this every afternoon. I heard that the tea room was going to be closed for refurb :(when we are there this summer so I talked dh into upgrading to SL just so my daughters and I can share afternoon tea together. Maybe my dh will join us also.:thumbsup2

I found out that they put you on a text/call waiting list for ADR's... so while it's still a LOOONNNGGG shot...I'm on a call list for BOG for one of two days, (apparently if you give an option it's better)... They keep your card on file, so that if something comes up, they text or call, then you text back and book! (standard data rates apply :thumbsup2)...

you have given me HOPE!!!. we only have one day in MK but it is late EMH day and BoG was the one restaurant I could not get. I don't even care when for dinner, we have absolutely nothing else planned so I can eat QS or snacks to keep me going...

as soon as I get back from the cruise I am so going to call them back and get on the waiting list.

Congratulations on booking Beach Club CL! Sounds like a wonderful celebration! I would definitely let IPO know about your celebration and about your service dog. We stayed CL for the first time at BC this past July and had a great experience! We were also in a water view room and had requested a full balcony. I believe the CL floor has a higher percentage of full balconies, but I would still note your request on your reservation. We were in room 5175. It was a LONG walk from the lounge and main elevators, but sooo worth it when we saw the view! If I can figure out how to post pictures I would love to share them. We had a beautiful view of SAB and the lake and Boardwalk. I could sit out on that balcony every day! It did get a little noisy in the afternoon from the activities at the pool, but it didn't bother us too much. http://s1348.photobucket.com/user/j...DDB-696-0000006703A22442_zps44b3394c.jpg.html

We stayed at the BC CL GV last May. BEAUTIFUL. We were at the end of the hall (down from the CM desks) next to the big Presidential type suite. GREAT room. So close to the lounge, huge plus for the kids. The CM's made special birthday buttons for the kids (bedazzled and with stickers/glitter). We had an awesome view off our balcony of Illuminations (the high fireworks, not the low ones of course). The only "funny" moment, which wouldn't have been except my DH is wonderful, was when we came back to the room very late one night and I flipped on the bathroom light quick when much to my surprise was a big roach sitting on the floor staring at me! I yelped and shut off the light. DH was given his marching orders, he knew there would be no peace should his mission be a failure. He swooped in and "rescued" us (by flushing the roach). I flushed about eight more times, dead or not I was taking no chances!! Lol. Reality is it can happen ANYWHERE. And we were on the 5th floor! (Later the CM surmised the hitchhiker a probably jumped on the laundry cart) I wasn't upset and it didn't deter from our trip or the beautiful resort at all. Have a great time!

The CL gave me a bottle twice at cr in January. Once because my dh flight canceled and he had to come back to the hotel . Then again when we moved to hospitality suites so I didn't have to carry glasses though the resort:cool1:

Poly is the best in this area. They have plastic/paper available to take your items outside. I did not take stuff outside at gf so I did not pay much attention. I know they have coffee styro cups you could use for water, juice or coffee. Just ask in lounge, I have found that they will do their best for what you need.

FYI I often take things to my room for later. I bring those plastic covers that look like shower caps in asst sizes and cover my bowl, plate or cup.

Dd liked to save scones for later and I like my fruit from breakfast later in the day. Also I would grab wine and save for when I got back from the park late:thumbsup2

I remember BC CL also always had styro cups/lids to take a drink to go and paper plates as well. Little kiddos aren't big on using glass, so I would think most all CL would make them available. If you scroll through the concierge/club level photo thread, you will see them inmost photos, I think.

Thanks Bellsfam!!!! I didn't know IPO did that!! So there's hope for all us!!

I actually pack a few ziplock baggies when we go. I like the magic bars that the WL Club puts out and the Scones at GF. I will usually get a few extra to put in a baggie for the nights/days we don't make it back in time to grab one.

We are expected to be at the Beach Club shortly and have yet to hear from an IPO for any stage of our planning! Is this standard practice?

Sometimes you have to email first. I've had that happen at both BC and AKL. I just email the respective IPO and say "Hello?". After that they are (very apologetic!) helpful!!

Well the last 5 summers it has been the same. Rumor has it they are testing new things now but sounding the same to me. Phyllo dough every night - either egg roll or crab ragoon or some pork thing....breakfast is the same, snacks the same and last year the desserts were really skimpy. Sounds the same for this year as well. I am booked this June and sort of regretting it...

BC CL didn't have anything outlandish IMHO when we went last May. Seemed to be standard offerings, a little something for everyone!

How's the view of Wishes now from the Poly CL lounge?? (With the new bungalows, I wasn't sure...)

Also, is the coffee in the Poly lounge the awesome Kona coffee? Or just the regular stuff? And do they have the "Stitch juice" from Ohana? :-)

Can you go to CL and get food to bring back to your room?

Like if I get up before DD and DH can I get some breakfast foods and bring them to the room or do they need to be consumed at the Lounge?

Same with alcohol... can you get a beer to bring back to the room or do you need to stay in the lounge to drink it? Just wondering what the "rules" are...

Last time I did CL it was 2003(?) at the Poly and we had MK views so it was nice to get a drink and snack, go back to your room and watch from your balcony!

Yes, you can always bring food and drinks out of the lounge. Trays are usually available, too. You can store drinks/alcohol in your fridge, you don't have to consume them in the lounge. At WL, the beer is stored in a fridge after 5 so you can take what you need. If it's before 5, you can ask a CM for some beer or even wine...it's 5:00 somewhere;), though it isn't put out till 5.

WOAH tks!!! :thumbsup2

Glad it hasn't changed that much since I've been...

I'd rather not keep too much in the room by way of food/alcohol, but an occasional drink or snack/breakfast would work... I just didn't want to be "confined" to the lounge if I didn't have to! :cool2:

We just returned from Poly CL. Wishes is great from the lounge, no changes there. However, be aware of the new room view categories -- we booked TPV and were given a first floor room. While we love first floor rooms TPV, the view is no longer TPV. We could see the top of the Castle through 2 bungalow roofs. They did reduce our cost to lagoon view. Room 1503. And if you booked garden view, they are giving some people rooms on the lagoon side right next to the walls and construction -- some people commented they loved it because they could see Wishes at night from their garden view room, but another family told us they asked to move to the other side of the building because of the view during the morning and daytime.

Coffee was not kona, unfortunately. I tried it the first night and then didn't even bother for the rest of our trip. Fortunately, they do have the pog juice (is that the juice you mean? it's delicious!). It has been a while since we've done the Ohana breakfast, but I assume it's the same juice:thumbsup2.

I'd love for the picture to show up and not just the link -- can anyone guide me. I'll keep trying different things.

I can see one picture! ??

FYI, the pog juice mixed with red wine in the afternoon is nice to take out to the beach/pool:goodvibes

I put my request as "any 1st or 3rd floor room" hoping to get lagoon side;)
