EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

That will be awesome! Some day I hope to be able to stay CL at CR! I did just upgrade my one night AKL reservation to CL after reading all the fabulous information on this thread! It's only one night, so I didn't really need to splurge, especially because we are going to be staying at GF RPC for the next 6 nights, but I just wanted to check out the Kilimanjaro Club! So excited! I wish it wasn't so far away!!

Oh my goodness it pays to keep checking!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I have been obsessively checking availability for a month. It's not that we were unhappy with AKL CL , we just know we like to be closer to Epcot because that's our main hang out spot. ;) I tried to get YC/BC for 3 months, nothing ever popped up. The last couple of days availability was getting less and less for CL rooms... last week they had AKL, WL, and GF, this week the only thing popping up was the Poly. I would have taken the GF but the friday and saturday night rates were rack (close to a thousand bucks per night) and I knew that was out of our budget. So we kept checking... over and over... and sure enough, just about 20 minutes ago someone canceled a room at the CR in atrium club and I snatched it up!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: I'm so glad I'm a travel agent now because it makes it so easy to change things. :thumbsup2 This will be our FIRST TIME in CL at the CR and we are sooooooo thrilled!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: What a great way to spend my birthday!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Congrats :thumbsup2. We've never stayed at the CR, but we are thinking of trying CR CL on our next trip.

AKL CL is one we want to try as well. With that said, GF RPC is amazing :cloud9:....there's nothing quite like it, IMO.

I'm excited! :) After this trip the only club level I'll have left to try is Sugar Loaf. Then I will have tried them all at least once. :thumbsup2

Rank them for us!! I propose two categories.

1. Ranked by club level only.
2. Ranked by overall experience.

:yay:

thanks for posting this. At the end of the year we will have stayed at every club level! trying YC CL at the end of the month and after a disappointing bc cl stay last april I was hesitant but glad to see how you are ranking yc.

have a great trip :)

Hi Erika - so happy for you! Looking forward to a live report from CR CL! We stayed there in October 2012 and really enjoyed it. (Completely perfect for MNSSHP night too!) We thought CL at CR added so much to our stay. It really made the building feel welcoming and cozy. The view from the lounge is wonderful, the CMs were great and our fellow guests were really friendly.

I was in the same situation just recently - checking the website constantly for Poly CL at the end of March. Finally got it, was thrilled, and then it was funny NOT looking on the website all the time. Feeling like I need to change or add something now! Maybe an extra night? :)

Hi don't know if I am posting this question in the right area but we are contemplating a concierge/club level stay at either BWI or BC which do people recommend?

When is your trip? Both of those club levels are facing refurbishments this year.

I have not stayed at the BC but we stayed BWI CL last year and it was AMAZING! We were celebrating our son's 3rd birthday and it was so memorable and special. The staff is truly outstanding! Just to give you an idea of how great it was, our kids are 6 and 3 and they asked everyday to take breaks so they could go back to the lounge for treats and talk to their CL "friends" about their day :) We're very outgoing people so it was fun for us to engage the staff. The food was great and with 2 little ones, it's priceless to walk down he hall for breakfast rather than have to find a place to eat before hitting the parks.

If you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer :goodvibes

We've stayed CL at both BC and BWI multiple times each. TigrLvsPooh's question is good to address first, since one or both may be undergoing a refurb during your stay. But if all refurb conditions are equal, I'd definitely vote for BWI. We really love BC - love it. But lately, our rule of thumb has been BC when staying non-CL and BWI when staying CL. Can't pass up BWI CL for many reasons:

1) The CMs. As kpm mentioned, they really can't be beat. They are so friendly and welcoming, but not at all overbearing. We have three boys, ages 14, 13 and 7 and they absolutely love the staff there, especially Jackie, Pete, Anita and Joes from Wisconsin and Chicago. Our teens love Poly, but will always vote for a split stay with BWI CL based heavily on the whole feel of the BWI club lounge. And I agree. We stayed there for Princess Half Marathon, and we'll return when I run the full marathon next year. It will be my first marathon and having that BWI CL environment is important to me.

2) The lounge. The lounge at BWI features more balcony space and a view of Illuminations at night. The ceilings are high and the space is generally more comfortable - at least for us.

3) The views. At BWI, you can book standard CL and request a boardwalk view. If your request is honored, it's pretty much the best deal on Disney property, from my perspective. We've been fortunate - BWI has been able to grant our boardwalk view requests, except for once . . . when they upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite! Now that we've stayed in a garden view room (well, suite) my husband says he prefers the garden view because it's more quiet. I still prefer the boardwalk view if staying in a standard room, but certainly love a suite!

I'll focus on the BWI positives, but say that BC CL has experienced some mixed reviews. Our own experiences there have also been mixed - some great and some not-so-great. BC remains one of our very favorite resorts overall - love SAB (so much more than the BWI pool), think BC Marketplace is the best resort CS (yes, I know I'm alone in that) and really love the BC grounds, lobby, theme and atmosphere. I also prefer the decor at BC. But if focusing on a CL comparison, I'd vote for BWI.

It would be a toss up for me... I love Stormalong Bay at the BC, but their lounge is in desperate need of an overhaul. I believe it is closing for refurb in May? Someone else posted about that. If your trip is after they reopen I would probably book that. BWI CL is great, love the CMs, but the location of the lounge isn't convenient, and the pool is just so-so.

No toss up here. I have stayed CL the last 5 summers (did not last summer and didn't miss it, but WILL stay this summer b/c bringing friend for DD)

BC Lounge SMALL!!! From what I heard rehab not occurring until late summer/fall. That was what I understood. Bad traffic flow in there...

BWI Lounge very nice..Very.

But BC has SAB...

For us, YC CL is the favorite by a LONG SHOT of the 3 so that is where we return in June...

We have stayed YC/BC/BW, but only club level at BW. We had a great experience there, but we are also looking to stay CL at the YC for a few nights this summer to try their lounge (it will be our third stay at the YC, but first CL). We let our kids decide between YC and BW since it's a hard decision for us to make as we love both resorts equally.

BC is my least favorite resort out of the three of them--I felt it was in dire need of a rehab last summer, so I'm not planning to stay there again until the entire resort has been given some much-needed TLC.

I agree, if you bring YC CL into the equation I would choose it first! But if they aren't considering YC then which would you pick?

I've heard May for BWI. Summer for BC. I'm not sure if dates have been set.

We have stayed CL at the BWI and BC. We love the BWI-CL for many things but the CM are on the top of our list. We are trying YC-CL in May because of the rehab at the BWI that will be going on during our stay. I have heard tons of great reports about the YC-CL.

I'll see what info I can dig up about rehab dates when I'm there in 12 days! :)
